In terms of comprehensive functions, Hilton Hotel, International Convention and Exhibition Center, International Waterfront Commercial Street-Fuchun Tiandi, Golf Club, Yacht Club, Triathlon International Competition Base, Ding Sports Fitness Club, etc. are a series of complex configurations with their own characteristics, making the project a well-deserved sports and leisure base in Hangzhou, the leisure capital. And "sports" also emphasizes outdoor sports integrated with mountains and rivers, jumping out of the "viewing" thinking plane of "river view room" and "mountain view room", and taking "mountains and rivers for people to watch and use" as the planning and design concept to realize the close contact between man and nature.
This project is the first to try the concept of energy planning. Berlin University of Technology is invited to make energy planning for the project, and generate new energy by purifying the original industrial waste and domestic waste. Vigorously develop the use of renewable energy and innovative energy in engineering construction to reduce environmental pollution and consumption. Integrate international frontier ecological intelligence technologies, including water resources, solar photovoltaic technology, reclaimed water utilization, intelligent fresh air, information management, etc. Strive to build a "green and energy-saving" urban complex. CUHK not only pays attention to the establishment of efficient and intensive dynamic relations between functional areas within the complex, but also pays attention to the complementarity between the project and the surrounding cities. On the one hand, an international waterfront commercial street with modern characteristics will be built along the river-"Fuchun Tiandi". At the same time, the original rural settlements of adjacent plots will be comprehensively transformed to help them develop characteristic tourism industries, and the farmers' industries lost due to demolition and construction will be upgraded to a local economy featuring local tourism and leisure, which will complement the waterfront international commercial pedestrian street to meet the leisure, entertainment and residential needs of different people, so that the whole region will form a complete open urban space. In 2009, CUHK Hangzhou Xijiao Peninsula won "Top 20 Urban Complex in China", "Best Example of UN Habitat Award (China)" and "Best Example of UN Habitat Award (China) Special Contribution Award".
