Beidaihe Olympic Avenue Park covers an area of 15.56 hectares. The park is characterized by leisure, fitness and sightseeing. In April 2002, with the approval of the State Sports General Administration and the Organizing Committee of the 29th Olympic Games, Qinhuangdao City built Binhai Avenue for the Olympic Games and named it "Olympic Avenue". In order to carry forward the Olympic spirit, spread the Olympic culture, and increase new tourist attractions and residents' leisure and fitness places, Beidaihe District Committee and Government invested 45 million yuan to build the park.
