At the scene, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen and Cambodian Ambassador to China Xiong Bo personally pressed the start button.

It is understood that the proposed stadium is located in the northeast suburb of Phnom Penh, about 15 km away from the city center, and it is the main stadium of the national stadium complex planned by the Cambodian government.

According to the Chinese introduction, the total construction area of the project design scheme is about 82,400 square meters, which can accommodate 60,000 people. The estimated total investment is about 1 1 billion yuan.

China's ambassador to Cambodia, Xiong Bo, said that the design of the National Stadium was chosen by Hun Sen himself. The overall shape is like a sailboat, magnificent and elegant, like a sailboat full of Sino-Cambodian friendship. He said that after the completion of the new national stadium, it will be another landmark building in Phnom Penh and become the center for Phnom Penh citizens to carry out the national fitness campaign.
