As the old saying goes, time flies too fast, and a week's internship has passed quickly.
Looking back on what I did this week, in short, it can be summarized as two major events: one is to help in the street office, and the other is to do a questionnaire. Although the questionnaire work only took me two days, I think I have learned something in these two days and contacted a lot more people than in the office. I mainly do some daily work in the street office. Although it is a bit cumbersome and sometimes even a little tired, it is at least a field performance for us to take up formal jobs. What I learned there is summarized as follows:
First of all, we must put down our airs and be an open-minded student. Don't always think you are a college student. You always think you know everything. This is a real workplace, not our classroom. A few days before we arrived at the sub-district office, the director and staff there asked us to do something we thought was "insignificant". But when we really do it, I realize that it takes skill to do such a simple thing, and it is not as simple as we thought. We forgot to close the window when cleaning the conference room. We made a mistake when we simply numbered the documents. Simple digital mistakes happen to us self-righteous college students! I feel embarrassed to think about it!
Second, you should be practical and brilliant, or you will feel lazy even if you contribute. When I first arrived, their staff here told me that they had just finished their work a while ago and now they have almost nothing to do. They are also very casual, just receiving some visiting residents. I went out to tidy up a few days before I started, and filled out some forms, which was fine. At first we waited there, but for a long time, there was almost nothing to do, and people came and went, and I felt embarrassed myself. Later, I took the initiative to help other staff. Over time, I get used to keeping myself busy, so I won't feel embarrassed, and their staff will look at our internship students with special respect!
Third, we must persevere and not be impetuous. Guard against arrogance and rashness, which is what Chairman Mao taught us. I think this sentence will never go out of date. A few days ago, we thought the internship was interesting and fresh, but after three minutes of intense heat, I was a little at a loss. Doing the same thing all day is really boring. I really couldn't hold on, but I thought about it later. If we are so impetuous and can't persevere, we can't do anything.

I learned from professional courses that street community work is complicated and tedious. The one-week community internship also made me understand the significance of modern community service.
