Sun-style Tai Ji Chuan pays attention to "avoiding three evils and keeping nine essentials". Avoiding three evils means avoiding arrogance, clumsiness and shyness when practicing boxing. To practice boxing, you must "divide it into one collapse, two buckles, three lifts, four tops, five wraps, six loosens, seven drops, eight catches and nine drills." In fact, these laws are exactly what Mr. Wang Zongyue's On the Biography of Taiji requires: "Movement is divided, and silence is combined; The Tai Chi realm of "stretching with music, not exceeding" requires the movement of all joints and related parts of the body, which is the specific instruction of the mind when directing body movements; It is Mr. Sun Lutang's further elaboration and refinement of Mr. Wang Zongyue's On Tai Ji Chuan based on his own personal martial arts experience.

When practicing boxing, "three evils" are inevitable. The collapse of the buckle, the lifting of the top and the loosening of the wrap are mainly implemented in the mind, and the removal is mainly implemented in the rhythm of action.

When practicing Sun-style Tai Ji Chuan, it is suggested that the boxing practice process should be positioned in the carving state. That is to say, in the process of Tai Ji Chuan's practice, we should always pay attention to the whole body and be careful of every movement detail. In this process, the mind and strength are tools, and the main parts and joints of the body are carved objects.

It is necessary to understand the state of "peace of mind, body and spirit, convergence of qi, firmness and concentration of spirit" and establish the logical relationship between them. This relationship was vague at first, even for a long time. However, with the continuous mutual promotion of clearing the road and doing a good job, it is inevitable that "the function will be perfected one day and the technology will be improved one day" and finally it will reach a comfortable state.

The Cultural Connotation of Sun-style Tai Ji Chuan
Zhang dahui
I studied Sun-style Tai Ji Chuan with teacher Sun Jianyun at 1992. Before that, I tried other Tai Ji Chuan styles, such as Tai Ji Chuan by Chen and Yang, but I finally chose Sun Tai Ji Chuan. After years of practice, I realize that this form of exercise contains many valuable things. It is worth pondering and pondering.
Although Tai Ji Chuan was named Boxing, in fact, especially in recent decades, it has been changing to the direction of Gong. From the initial emphasis on offensive and defensive effects to the modern emphasis on fitness, this change is illustrated. Therefore, in recent years, it is actually more reasonable to call all kinds of Tai Ji Chuan practiced by most people as Taiji Kung Fu.
Sun-style Tai Ji Chuan, created by Mr. Sun Lutang, is the latest boxing among the five major schools of modern Tai Ji Chuan. It should be said that Mr. Sun Lutang reconstructed his various boxing methods, such as form and meaning, gossip and Tai Chi, from the perspective of cultural construction, and pursued a high degree of unity of movement form and connotation, instead of paying attention to the "difficulty" of action level, so as to achieve a high degree of coordination between meaning and form. In the preface of Notes on Sun Shiwu's Research by Tong Xudong, I briefly summarized the historical and academic characteristics of Sun Shiwu's research as "Sun Shi Wushu is a comprehensive school with profound Zen meaning. Join Wudang and visit Shaolin; Taking form and meaning, gossip proves Tai Chi. According to the principle of one product, innovation, highlighting independence and self-integration; It's like a martial arts Kunlun decision. "The general idea of this passage is: around 19 18, Mr. Sun Lutang's five martial arts works, such as Taiji Zhuxue, were actually the crystallization results of comprehensively summarizing the achievements of various schools of martial arts in China at that time; It is a milestone in the development history of China Wushu.
First, the sports characteristics of Sun Tai Tai Ji Chuan
In everyone's impression, the characteristics of Sun-style Tai Ji Chuan are high-spirited, advancing and retreating, advancing and retreating; Every turn is connected by opening and closing. In fact, further, the deep-seated feature of Sun-style Tai Ji Chuan is to pursue the harmony between form and meaning on the basis of smooth form, and to pay attention to the mean between form and meaning. If the shape is not tight, it means living; If you live by yourself, the shape will be very smooth; In this way, when the body moves, it will be impartial and coordinated, and even reach the best golden mean state of "ethereal, energetic, impartial and flickering"; It has a great health care effect on limbs and nerves.
In addition, Sun-style Tai Ji Chuan pays attention to "avoiding three evils and keeping nine essentials". Avoiding three evils means avoiding arrogance, clumsiness and shyness when practicing boxing; To practice boxing, you must "divide it into one collapse, two buckles, three lifts, four tops, five wraps, six loosens, seven drops, eight catches and nine drills." In fact, these laws are exactly what Mr.
We can further analyze "avoiding three evils and keeping nine essentials". Too much effort will lead to the loss of strength, too little effort will lead to forgetfulness. Lifting the chest and abdomen will lead to rigid buoyancy and rootless body. Therefore, when practicing boxing, "three evils" are inevitable. The collapse of the buckle, the lifting of the top and the loosening of the wrap are mainly carried out in the mind, and the obvious tripping is mainly carried out in the rhythm of the action. Pay attention to the "nine essentials", that is, pay attention to movement, quietness is quiet, movement is appropriate, and the rhythm should be clear and moderate.
In addition, when practicing Sun-style Tai Ji Chuan, it is suggested that the boxing process should be located in the carving state. That is to say, in the process of Tai Ji Chuan's practice, we should always pay attention to the whole body and be careful of every movement detail. In this process, the mind and strength are tools, and the main parts and joints of the body are carved objects. I remember the teachers of my predecessors once said that if you are slow to ten, you will soon be ten. In other words, it is required to ponder carefully, experience carefully and observe yourself in the process of practicing boxing.
Second, the cultural connotation of The Biography of Sun Tai.
The cultural characteristics of Sun-style Tai Ji Chuan are very obvious. A careful reading of Sun Lutang's Study of Tai Ji Chuan will help us to realize this point more deeply. Taiji is a symbolic feature of China culture. Rational thinking about sports is an appeal of our ancestors and the only way to explore the cultural connotation of a sports form. Mr. Sun Lutang's practice and reflection on many martial arts schools, such as Xingyiquan, Bagua Boxing and Taiji, are crystallized into five works, which make him a master in this field.
In the book Tai Ji Chuan Studies, Mr. Sun Lutang comprehensively and systematically expounded the origin of Tai Ji Chuan's name from the perspective of traditional philosophy. It is pointed out that "Tai Chi is a breath, and a breath is Tai Chi", that is, Tai Chi is a highly orderly state, which changes with time and space, and is a highly orderly state that adapts to the changes of time and space at any time. The symbolic feature of this orderly state is coordination, that is, "stretch with the music, not too late." In the words of Mr. Sun Lutang, it is "expanding and contracting in one breath". That is to say, Sun-style Tai Ji Chuan was named Tai Ji Chuan because he already possessed this characteristic of Taiji culture in action form and mentality.
Systematization is an important feature of culture. Taiji culture constructs its own academic system from "one principle, two qi, three talents, four images, five elements, six hexagrams, seven stars, eight diagrams and nine planets". Now, it seems that this statement does seem out of place with the popular subject culture of natural science. But the form is inconsistent, and it is not necessarily unrelated in essence. Digesting it, rather than simply abandoning it, should be the mission of contemporary Taiji scholars, otherwise, we will lose the essence of the practical achievements painstakingly calibrated by our ancestors with the culture of their time.
Mr. Sun Lutang applied this kind of Tai Chi cultural thinking to his own thinking about the action form of martial arts, and specifically explained it as "one principle, that is, Tai Chi spread begins with the qi in the belly, and Tai Chi is also. Second, the body is static and moving, and the two instruments are also. Three talents, head, hands and feet, namely up, middle and down. Four images, namely, front, back, left and right. The five elements are advance, retreat, protection, hope and determination. Liuhe, that is, the essence of its spirit, its spirit of qi and its spirit of essence, is also the inner triad; Shoulders and hips, elbows and knees, hands and feet are combined into one, which is also an external triad. Seven stars, head, head, shoulder, elbow, horizontal, knee, foot * * * seven fists, is also seven stars. Gossip, shed, row, squeeze, press, pick, row, elbow, shit, that's gossip. Jiugong, with eight hands and one middle position, is also Jiugong. " These nine arranged sentences should be the symbolic features of Sun Shi and Tai Ji Chuan's own cultural system and the Tai Chi cultural outline of Sun Shi and Tai Ji Chuan.
Use "one principle" to decide boxing, namely Tai Ji Chuan. Looking at the' 98 Tai Ji Chuan, the principle of "stretching in one breath" is adhered to in the movement, and the movement is mutual fundamental, which involves the theory of "two qi". In the dynamic and static exchange, the head is empty, the hands are empty, the feet are flat, and there is no movement or stillness. The upper, middle and lower parts are connected with each other, which is called "three talents". Only by dabbling around can there be "four elephants". Here, I dare not or forget the decision, which runs through it, so there are "five elements". In the continuous operation, where the movements are swaying, the heart always looks inward, making the essence, qi and spirit leaderless, each holding its own position and calibrating each other. This is the so-called "inner triad". The six joints of hand, elbow, shoulder, hip, knee and foot vaguely correspond to them, showing an "external trinity" outward; In fact, there is no distinction between inside and outside, collectively referred to as "Liuhe". According to the state of "six in one", the head, head, shoulders, elbows, spans, knees and feet are all beautiful, with the image of a vault, becoming a "seven stars". Specifically, the so-called beauty is eight kinds of strength, such as giving up, caressing, squeezing, pressing, picking, walking, elbow, leaning and * *, as "gossip". Although the eight kinds of strength have their own characteristics, they are all neutral in common, and finally they were named "Jiugong".
In this way, once the spread of Taiji begins, it will be "the beginning of Daming, the time of six people, the time of sex, and the time of goods logistics". This is the general idea of Sun Shi and Tai Ji Chuan's boxing theory; It is also an outline of the cultural connotation of Sun-style Tai Ji Chuan.
