Li Mingbo was arrested at home late at night on the 22nd. He was taken to East Seoul Detention Center at 0: 00 18 local time on 23rd, and was taken to a single but spacious cell on the top floor of 12, with the prison number of 7 16. In principle, prison guards don't call them by their names, just criminals.
According to the Law on Courtesy to the Former President and other decrees, the detention center arranged Lee Myung-bak as a special prison guard, occupying a single room area of 13.07 square meters (including the bathroom), which is 3 square meters larger than the single room arranged by Seoul Detention Center for park geun-hye.
It is reported that all cells in the room are vacant, and there are fitness facilities on the 12 floor. Lee Myung-bak usually has no chance to meet his cellmates. Li Mingbo's room has a TV, a mirror, a quilt, bedding, a dining table and desk, a clothes rack, a storage box, a fan, a washstand and cleaning tools. Li Mingbo has to get up at 6 o'clock in the morning and go to bed at 8 o'clock in the evening. He eats indoors and washes dishes by himself.
The people involved in the Central District Prosecutor's Office in Seoul are generally held in the Seoul Detention Center. However, since park geun-hye and Lee Myung-bak were both detained in Seoul Detention Center, the Ministry of Justice took Lee Myung-bak to the East Seoul Detention Center, which was just put into use on September 27th last year, in order to prevent the burden of guards and avoid collusion.
