Handan is my hometown. Handan is an ancient civilized city with a long history. In recent years, with the rapid development of the motherland's economy, great and gratifying changes have taken place in Handan. These changes are mainly manifested in the following aspects: The first major change is traffic. When I was born, the main streets in Handan were neither long nor wide, and some nights there were no street lamps. Now, those main streets are not only widened, but also lengthened. Renmin Road extends eastward for more than 20 kilometers, all the way to my grandmother's house. Several new streets have been built in Handan, such as fu tung street, next to my home, and South Second Ring Road, south of fu tung street. These roads are spacious and tidy, with flowers, trees and lanterns on both sides. They are very beautiful. There is also a highway running through the north and south of the motherland, which stands in the east of Shikang, symbolizing that Shikang will develop at a high speed with the great construction of the motherland. The second biggest change in my hometown is architecture. In just ten years, many tall buildings have been built in Handan.

My home is located in the first residential area built in Handan. I heard that when we first moved here, it was a big fish pond. No, in a few years, all the buildings have been built. There is also a new long-distance communication building in the south of Guangsha, which is the tallest building in Handan. At night, the bright lights here add a beauty and a pride to this small place in Handan. The third major change in my hometown is the park. We used to have only one park in Handan-Congtai Park, and we had to collect tickets. Now, we have built several new parks here-Fuyang Park, Zhaoyuan Park and Longhu Park. They are more beautiful than one, and they are all free, which makes tourists enjoy themselves. My favorite is Longhu Park next to our home. This park was just built in 2006. This is the latest park and the most beautiful one. Longhu Park has a large musical fountain. On summer nights, we enjoy the cool by the lake and watch the music fountain. We think life is really wonderful. The fourth major change in Handan is that there are more cultural squares, more places for people to relax and have more green areas. Streets and alleys have been trimmed, and flowers have been planted on both sides of the road. Just to the south of our community, a large forest has been planted. After greening and trimming, Shikang has become more beautiful, with less wind and sand, fresh air and relaxed people's mood.

All of the above are changes in the face of Handan. With the development of economy, great changes have taken place in the mental outlook of Handan people. People do morning exercises in community squares, block squares, parks and other places every day. They spontaneously organized themselves to practice Tai Ji Chuan, do aerobics for the elderly, and sing in various forms. Street corners, rivers and residential areas are full of sports equipment. People have strengthened physical exercise and physical fitness, thus devoting great energy to study, work and life.

There are many changes in Handan. The industrious and intelligent people of Handan will make our home richer and more beautiful, and make Shikang truly a civilized ancient city and a modern garden city.
