3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this part of GB 19079.

bungee jumping

It refers to the activity of people jumping freely from a height with bungee cords.

3.2

Bungee jumping place

A place that can meet people's bungee training, competition, fitness and leisure activities. Include artificial bungee jumping places and natural and artificial bungee jumping places.

5 Site, facilities and equipment conditions

5. 1 bungee tower

5. 1. 1 The natural height shall not exceed 80 m, the length and width of the bungee platform shall not be less than 3 m, and the arm length of the bungee platform shall not be less than 12m.

5. 1.2 The radius of the vertical projection point of bungee cord from surrounding obstacles shall not be less than12 m..

5. 1.3 The bottom water depth of the vertical projection point of bungee cord shall not be less than 4 m.

5. 1.4 There are clear and eye-catching water depth signs and isolation zones.

5. 1.5 There are safety guardrails, anti-skid facilities and protective nets, and there are blocking facilities at the exit of bungee jumping platform.

5.2 bungee jumping platform

5.2. 1 Set up isolation belt, and there should be isolation facilities between bungee jumpers and irrelevant personnel.

5.2.2 Blocks are arranged around the bungee jumping table, and inward opening and closing blocks are arranged at the entrances and exits.

5.2.3 Live load shall not be less than 300 kg/㎡.

5.2.4 The horizontal driving force borne by the safety guardrail shall meet the requirements of GB 8408—2000.

5.2.5 The static friction coefficient of the ground shall not be less than 0.5.

5.2.6 Observation points and video monitoring settings should be set in bungee jumping area.

5.2.7 The horizontal distance between the recovery rope and the platform is not less than 0.4m

5.3 bungee jumping space

5.3. 1 The vertical distance between the rebound point and the lower edge of the platform should not be less than 7% of the bungee height.

5.3.2 When the jumping height is less than 40m, the vertical distance from the lowest landing point to the landing area shall be not less than 3m; When the jumping height is more than 40 m, the vertical distance from the lowest point of falling to the landing area is not less than 4 m.

5.3.3 When the jumping height is less than 40 m, the backward distance between the bungee cord and the obstacle in the vertical state is not less than 16 m, and the lateral distance is not less than 9.6 m; ; When the jumping height is less than 40 m, the backward distance between the bungee cord and the obstacle in the vertical state is not less than 25 m, and the lateral distance is not less than12 m.

5.4 Lifting, lowering and power transmission equipment

5.4. 1 The safety factor of the safety auxiliary rope is greater than 10, and the diameter is not less than 8 mm.

5.4.2 Safety auxiliary ropes and fixing devices of lifting equipment shall meet the requirements of GB 8408—2000.

5.4.3 The diameter ratio of pulley or drum to safety auxiliary rope shall not be less than 40 times, and the diameter ratio of guide wheel to safety auxiliary rope shall not be less than 20 times.

5.4.4 For bungee jumping platforms less than 20 m, the ratio of pulley or drum to the diameter of safety auxiliary rope should not be less than 20 times.

5.4.5 There are devices to prevent the safety auxiliary rope from falling off, overwinding, loosening and folding.

5.4.6 When there is no load, the safety auxiliary rope shall be wound on the drum for not less than 3 times.

5.4.7 Only after confirming that the bungee jumper has stopped jumping can the hoist be started to raise or lower the bungee jumper.

5.4.8 The winch brake shall meet the requirements of GB/T 5144-1985.

5.5 rubber band

5.5. 1 The elastic rope shall obtain the product inspection certificate issued by a professional technical institution that meets the statutory requirements.

5.5.2 The use times of elastic rope shall not exceed the rated use times of the manufacturer, and the broken wire shall not exceed 5%.

5.5.3 There shall be at least two buckles connecting elastic rope and people, and the buckles shall be of locking structure.

5.6 Other requirements

5.6. 1 Jumping equipment such as straps, flat straps and ankle straps shall obtain product inspection certificates issued by professional and technical institutions that meet legal conditions.

5.6.2 The bungee jumping platform with a height exceeding 20m shall be equipped with anemometers. 5.6.3 The staff of bungee jumping table, reception area and lounge should keep in touch.

5.6.4 When the lifting equipment can't work normally, there should be emergency rescue facilities.

5.6.5 There are life-saving observation platforms, lifeboats, lifebuoys, life-saving rods and life-saving boards.

5.6.6 The indoor air in the public lounge of bungee jumping place meets the requirements of GB/T 17093.

5.6.7 Public indication signs shall meet the requirements of GB/T10001.1.

6 security

6. 1 There are "instructions for bungee jumping personnel" and safety warnings in conspicuous places.

6.2 Install the "Safety Inspection Qualified" sign of bungee jumping equipment in an obvious position.

6.3 There are special equipment registration forms, factory documents of equipment and its components, annual maintenance plan and its implementation, installation and maintenance records and their acceptance data, equipment failure and handling records.

6.4 First-aid drugs and instruments should be placed in obvious positions for easy access.

6.5 There should be personnel on duty during non-opening hours.

6.6 All kinds of personnel should be clearly marked when they take up their posts.

6.7 There are sound facilities and equipment safety inspection, safe operation, accident treatment, safety system and personnel service post responsibility system.

This part is divided into the third part of GB 19079. The content of this section is mandatory.
