It is more effective to exercise for three to five minutes a day than for one hour a week. This is my experience of practicing yoga for five minutes every morning for 35 years.
When I was in high school, that is, 1987, I was 15 years old. There was a program on TV that taught yoga. I read several issues and liked them very much. Later, I accidentally bought the book "Fitness and Weight Loss Yoga" in Xinhua Book.
It is this book that tells me to practice hard for three minutes every day.
Because I was in high school at that time, my daily study was still tense, so I chose eleven yoga poses suitable for practicing in a 90cm student bed to learn. At first, I learned posture by posture, and I mastered all the movements after learning for one month. These eleven movements are: lotus sitting posture, yoga Dora, King Kong sitting posture, hands crossed posture, knee-to-face posture, supine King Kong sitting posture, antenna posture, lion posture, cow face posture, back straight posture and spider posture.
The first thing to do when you wake up every morning is to practice these eleven postures, one by one. The whole practice ends in five minutes, and then the daily routine of the day lasts for 35 years.
The result is: 50 years old, occasionally feel cold, drink more boiled water, and you can recover in a day or two. And the figure is not out of shape, not fat or thin. Whether I can eat fat or not, my classmates all said that I would deny it. In fact, I only have five minutes of yoga time every day.
The picture below shows the "lotus sitting posture" practiced on the floor while playing in Qingniu Valley some time ago.
Even if you are not on the flat ground, you can sit still and keep your balance. That's because the mind is focused on one situation. Yoga has been practiced for a long time. Every time I go to a place with beautiful scenery, when I am tired of playing, I can't help practicing, breathing fresh air and discharging the dirty air in my body, and the whole person will be refreshed. Just like people who love to sing, it is a truth to shout at beautiful places.
