On May 8, 2009, China Sports Newspaper invited Tsinghua University Academy of Fine Arts, Art Design Department of Central Academy of Arts and Crafts, Olympic Art Design Research Center, Art Design Department of Capital Normal University, Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, China Academy of Fine Arts and other professional colleges to collectively participate in logo creation.
On May 14, 2009, China Sports Newspaper and Beijing Sport University jointly issued a notice calling on all teachers and students of Beijing Sport University to participate in the creation of logos and theme slogans.
On May 9, 2009/KLOC-0, the "National Fitness Day Logo and Theme Slogan Collection and Selection Campaign Entering Tsinghua" was successfully held.
The deadline for soliciting contributions is May 29th, 2009. In a short period of one month, the solicitation office received 13 15 signs and 9320 slogans from 32 provinces, municipalities, autonomous regions, China, Hongkong and Australia. Applicants include more than 20 nationalities, most industries and classes. Excellent applicants include 8-year-old kindergarten students, rural candidates preparing for the college entrance examination, and 79-year-old professor of Renmin University.
From May 3, 2009 to June 3, 2009, logo and theme slogan entered the judging process. The expert judges are He Jie, vice president of Tsinghua University Academy of Fine Arts, Zhang Wu, one of the designers of the Olympic emblem, Gao Dianmin, director of the Sports Department of Xinhua News Agency, Liu Xiaoming, director of the Sports Department of People's Daily, and Cen Chuanli, deputy director of the Sports Channel of CCTV. And a jury of 22 people, including Fung Gin-Chung, deputy director of the State Sports General Administration, assistant to the director, Sheng Zhiguo, director of the Group Department, director of the Propaganda Department, director Zhang Jian, director of the newspaper head office Tu Xiaodong and director of the Cultural Development Center, made a preliminary and final evaluation of the works.
After that, the author and experts revised the work several times. During this period, the Trademark Office of the State Administration for Industry and Commerce fully realized the significance of the national fitness day logo and theme slogan to the people of the whole country, and enthusiastically cooperated with the trademark inquiry and filing protection work. On July 28, 2009, 90 days after the collection, the logo and theme slogan of National Fitness Day ushered in a grand and warm birth ceremony.
