Pronunciation, mouth shape and breath are the unique training methods of six-character qigong, and they are also the core, difficulty and focus of six-character qigong. The practice of health qigong and six-character formula begins directly with breathing, so it is more important to have a reasonable and correct breathing method.
There are two main breathing methods in the six-character formula of health qigong, one is the natural breathing method of nasal inhalation, and the other is the reverse abdominal breathing method of nasal inhalation. In addition to exhaling and exhaling, use the second breathing method, and use the first natural breathing method for other times and actions. The ancients called one breath and one breath, so the method of adjusting breathing is called "pranayama", which is also one of the most basic "three tones" of Qigong.
For pranayama, the most basic requirements are: even (even), thin (thin), soft (soft) and long (deep) breathing. At the same time, we should follow the principle of letting nature take its course and step by step, and avoid deliberate pursuit and copying mechanically. Pranayama is a state in which the body, qi and spirit are integrated and breathing is even, thin, soft and long on the basis of relaxing the body (that is, regulating the body) and calming the mind (that is, regulating the heart).
