The story tells that Emperor Tiandi knew that Xie Duan had died since he was a child, and he was very lonely. He felt sorry for him. Seeing that he was thrifty, he sent a fairy snail girl to help him.
Luohu, Shehong County, Sichuan Province has also been circulated, and the story is similar. Snail girl is a character in a local folk tale in Fuzhou, Fujian Province, which comes from the fifth volume of the Postscript of Finding God.
Related legend:
Shehong County, Sichuan Province is Taihe Town, known as one of the four famous towns in Sichuan. On the east bank of Fujiang River, 8 miles north of Taihe Town, there is a place called Mukongba. The scenery on the dam is beautiful, the air is fresh, and people come to play in an endless stream. The Fujiang River under the dam is filled with smoke, flocks of waterfowl and beautiful blue waves. Many snails come here to settle down, so it is called snail lake.
This section of Fujiang River is in the shape of Taiji diagram, surrounded by a jade belt, and Mukongba is surrounded by a peninsula, which is called Luohu Peninsula by local people. There is a place on the island called Miaozigou. According to local veterans, in the early years, this place was full of temples from the mouth of the ditch to the ditch, stretching for more than a mile, with pavilions and incense.
Later, due to the changes of the times, many temples were destroyed, and only a back temple was kept on the hill at the bottom of the ditch. The name of this temple is Chengquan Temple, which was later renamed Chengquan Temple. Chengquan Temple has been rebuilt. There are Guanyin Hall and Snail Hall in the temple, which are carved with the images of Guanyin Goddess and Snail Girl respectively.
There are also one or five pavilions in the temple. Looking at the pavilion can have a panoramic view of the beautiful scenery on both sides of the Fujiang River, which makes people feel relaxed and happy, hence the name Forgetting the Pavilion. Here, the Buddha can manifest the spirit, the water can strengthen the body, the tree can sense, the qi can nourish the heart, the grass can cure diseases, and the flowers can make people happy ... It is a holy land of Feng Shui for home health. An ancient Castanopsis fargesii tree in front of the temple witnessed the historical situation of Mukongba.
Why did Chengquan Temple change to Chengquan Temple? Why is the temple dedicated to Master Guanyin and Snail Girl? Why is the five-story pavilion also called "Forgetting Worry Pavilion"? What story did the snail family in Luohu tell? Fujiang River, which flows under the Mukongba all the year round, tells people an eternal legend that happened in Luohu Peninsula.
