Wuhan Institute of Physical Education, formerly known as Central South Institute of Physical Education, is one of the first independent full-time colleges and universities in New China. 1953 was founded in Nanchang, Jiangxi, 1955 moved to Wuhan, Hubei, and 1956 was renamed Wuhan Institute of Physical Education.

5. Tianjin Institute of Physical Education
Tianjin Institute of Physical Education is an undergraduate college with pedagogy as the main factor and coordinated development of management, literature, art and science, and is headed by Tianjin Education Commission.

It is the only sports-oriented multi-disciplinary and multi-professional college of higher learning in Liaoning Province, which is jointly funded by the central and local governments.
