Guangzhou Asian Games Town is located in the south of Guangzhou, at the south foot of Lianhua Mountain Scenic Area and the west bank of Lianhua Mountain Waterway, with a land area of 2.73 square kilometers.

The Asian Games Town is mainly divided into seven parts: athletes' village, technical officials' village, media village, media center, logistics service area, gymnasium area and Asian Games Park. Each area is relatively independent, managed by districts, and equipped with a sound security system.
There are convenient road connections between the Asian Games Town and the competition areas. Guangzhou Metro Waterfront Station, Beijing-Zhuhai Expressway and Pingnan Expressway, which extend in all directions, are connected with the Asian Games Town, ensuring that athletes, officials, technicians and media personnel can reach the main competition venues from the Asian Games Town within 40 minutes by special bus.
Different functional areas, such as the Athletes' Village, the Technical Officials' Village and the Media Village, have independent external transportation systems and parking facilities to ensure smooth access.
On June 26th, 2007, Guangzhou Asian Games Town officially started construction. It is estimated that it will be completed and put into use by the end of August 20 10, and the Asian Games Town will be opened in advance on October 25 10.

Athletes village
The athletes' village can serve14,700 athletes and team officials, with a total construction area of about 460,000 square meters, which is divided into three parts: public area, international area and residential area.
Residential area is a place where athletes from all over the world live, live, train, relax and entertain during the competition. Located between two natural ecological rivers, it provides spacious accommodation with a per capita living area of about 26 square meters for heads of sports delegations and athletes from all countries.
Each apartment has an entrance garden, an ultra-wide terrace, a simple kitchen and toilet facilities, and each athlete's village residence is equipped with an air club and an air garden as an all-round physical recovery center for athletes' fitness and leisure, providing athletes with a quality living environment.
The 8,500-square-meter physical recovery and strength training center in the community is equipped with indoor standard swimming pool, gym, spa/ sauna room, 400-meter standard track and field and other functional facilities.
There are accommodation service centers, community service centers, storage centers, operation support centers, public restaurants and other Asian Games supporting service facilities in the residential area, which fully meet the living needs of athletes.
The Gongx District is the external transportation and reception center of the Athletes' Village, with external transportation hub, arrival and departure office, media service sub-center, visitor reception center, catering service center, car rental service center and volunteer service center.
The International Zone provides comprehensive services such as shopping and entertainment for athletes and officials, and it is a place to welcome delegations from all countries and hold multi-cultural activities in Asia. Colorful activities will allow athletes to experience a colorful cultural tour of Lingnan water town after the fierce competition, and enhance the understanding and friendship of people in Asian countries.

Technical officer village
The technical officials village covers an area of about 18.5 hectares, with a total construction area of about 654.38+10,000 square meters, which can accommodate 2,800 technical officials. The residential buildings in the technical official village are all single rooms with one staircase and two households, and the per capita living area is about 35 square meters or more. Technical Guanyuan Village is equipped with corresponding catering, leisure and entertainment services, and has an independent accreditation center and security inspection entrances and exits. A parking lot provides 100 car parking spaces, 160 bus parking spaces and 60 bus parking spaces.
Media village
Media Village covers an area of about 45.3 hectares with a total construction area of about 500,000 square meters. Can serve 1 10,000 media personnel, and the per capita living building area is more than 25 square meters.
The media village is arranged near the main news center and the international broadcasting center, which is convenient for media personnel to go to work every day.
The media village provides perfect living facilities, such as public restaurants, Muslim restaurants, religious facilities, medical stations and staff rooms. Media Village has three parking lots, providing 660 bus berths and 80 bus berths.
