In the eyes of the people all over the country, Shanghai is an international metropolis that countless people have long yearned for. However, on the other side of Shanghai's beauty and prosperity, at the eastern end of about 50 kilometers from the center of Shanghai, there is a beautiful island named Changxing Island. It is named Changxing Island because its shape is a long strip. Changxing Island covers an area of nearly one million square kilometers, and it only takes about 40 minutes by car. There are more than 40,000 residents on the island. 15 years ago, Changxing Island was under the jurisdiction of Baoshan District of Shanghai, and was later included in Chongming District of Shanghai.
Changxing Island in Shanghai is known as Orange Town, Ecological Island and Changshou Island. The unique natural conditions and ecological environment make Changxing Island's tourism fully developed.
There are many natural and cultural landscapes in Changxing Island, so I won't repeat them here. What I want to describe here is the biggest feature of crops in Changxing Island, which is the famous citrus on the island.
Changxing Island mainly grows citrus, covering an area of 20 square kilometers, and is known as the hometown of citrus. Citrus varieties mainly include Miyagawa, Xinjin, Zhangwei, Huangpi Orange and Red Sweet Orange. In China, it has been rated as a high-quality product, which is fresh, sweet and delicious, with moderate acidity and is favored by consumers.
In autumn and October, if you come to the beautiful Changxing Island, the gold on the island can dazzle you. On the island, behind the house in front of every household, on both sides of fields and roads, heavy oranges are hung on the branches. Under the breeze, the whole air is filled with rich orange fragrance.
Changxing Island has convenient transportation and tourists. To Changxing Island, you can not only take a ferry, but also drive. The cross-river tunnel connecting Shanghai greatly shortens the distance between Changxing Island and Shanghai.
If you travel to Shanghai, don't forget to go to Changxing Island in Shanghai to witness and feel the beauty of the island.
What are the interesting places in Changxing Island, Shanghai?
The planned area of Changxing Island Country Park is 29.8 square kilometers, which is almost equivalent to 1/5 of the total area of Changxing Island. The first phase covers an area of 556 square kilometers, which is roughly equivalent to a 45th century park. Due to the large area, the colorful fitness trails in the park are only 10 km long.
