From 200/kloc-0 to 2002, with the help of the society, our county invested a total of10.4 billion yuan to implement urban flood control projects in Ke Qiao. Our county demolished the buildings and houses around the lake, cleaned up the fishery facilities on the lake, and implemented the landscape greening around Guazhu Lake.
The green area of the project is 6,543,800+0,520 square meters. On the basis of Nan 'an Park built in 1990s, four parks, namely Nan 'an Entrance Square, West Bank, North Bank and East Bank, have been built successively. In particular, the South Bank Entrance Plaza Park and the West Bank Park add luster to Guazhu Lake.
The entrance square park on the south bank of Guazhu Lake is the only way for foreign tourists to enter Guazhu Lake Scenic Area, and it is also an important external window of Guazhu Lake and even Ke Qiao. The core of the entrance square is the first phase of the project, which consists of a circular square, a rainbow corridor and an artificial stream. Taking the center of the square as the axis, from west to east, in clockwise order, autumn tree-lined, sparse forest and wet flowers, camellias mirror line, bamboo forest resting, magnolia fragrance, make full use of plant color, flowering period and leaf color to reflect the landscape space. This is a modern waterfront park featuring textile culture. It is also a key project in the green belt project around Guazhu Lake. It highlights the hydrophilicity and leisure of the lake. The project covers an area of 85,000 square meters with a total investment of 49.88 million yuan. The project includes lakeside footpath, landscape footbridge (Queqiao), cruise wharf, sprinkler wall, large-scale sculpture, tensioned membrane project, etc. Become a beautiful and comfortable leisure in the hearts of Ke Qiao citizens.

From June 5, 2004 to 10, a long-distance race around Guazhu Lake was held in our county. During the recent May Day, the first dragon boat of the Ruian Chamber of Commerce in Textile City was launched in Guazhu Lake, and a dragon boat race was held on the Dragon Boat Festival. Guazhu Lake has also become the driving range for our county rowing team and Wenzhou rowing team. Various cultural performances on the banks of Guazhu Lake frequently appeared.
