Returning to my hometown after 20 years (fifth grade composition)
In spring, I returned to my hometown after twenty years' absence.

Sitting in the car on the way home, I saw that my hometown had changed a lot. The roadside used to be a field and several high mountains. Now it is either a factory or a tall building. The high mountains are greener and more lush than before.

Came to the village entrance of my hometown, "Ah!" Suddenly I froze.

My hometown has changed so much that I can't believe my eyes. The old dirt road turned into asphalt road, and an overpass was built in the village. The house became a mansion. There are several square lawns and rows of flowers in front of and behind the house. Some people have a small garden full of flowers and plants. Downstairs is the underground parking lot. Almost every family has a car now.

I saw the river. There are several weeping willows on both sides of the river, and the long soft willow branches sway with the wind. Several particularly long wickers hang down the river. When the breeze blows, there will be ripples on the river. There are several nests in the tree, and the birds are chirping and making pleasant sounds.

On a small road, I met my good friend in primary school-Tongshan. I called her and she recognized me at once. We hugged each other tightly and were very happy!

She took me to her house. She has a villa. We talked a lot and recalled many past events. It's time for lunch. Tongshan asked me to stay for dinner, and I agreed.

I finally got home. My parents are eating. They are very happy to see me. Tears welled up in their eyes and they hugged me tightly.
