Bama is rich in rice, pearl yellow corn, cassava, tea oil, hemp, soybean, cat bean, bamboo shoot, cinnamon, watermelon, fragrant pig, goat, oily fish, whitebait and so on.
Xiang pig is a precious specialty of Bama, which was once a tribute of the imperial court in ancient times. 1995, Bama was named "the hometown of China fragrant pigs" by the state.
Bama is one of the main producing areas of tea oil in western Guangxi, with more than 260,000 mu of tea oil forest. Black beans. Bama black beans, produced in Wunong slices in Yandong and Suoluo townships, are black and shiny and more nutritious than ordinary soybeans. Besides being usually used as oil and vegetable, it is often used as tonic and stew, which has the effects of nourishing brain and blood, invigorating qi and kidney, strengthening yang, improving eyesight and blackening hair. Soybean is also one of the edible oil crops for the long-lived elderly.
