Tongji University was formerly the German Medical College founded by German doctor paulun erich in 1907. 1908 was renamed Tongji Wende yiguang; 19 12, together with the newly established Tongji Devon Medical College, is called Tongji Devon Medical College; Tongji University was officially named1923; 1927 National Tongji University, one of the seven earliest national universities in China.
