Guide saltworks

Returning to Germany to produce salt was first seen in the Records of Yuanfeng Nine Domains written by Wangcun in the Northern Song Dynasty: "Dongguan County has three salt fields: Jingkang, Daning and Dongguan, and Hainan, Huangtian and Guide." After the mid-Northern Song Dynasty, due to the increasing demand for salt, the price of salt soared and the output of salt also increased greatly. The number of salt fields in Shenzhen has increased to three, namely Dongguan field, Huangtian field and Guide field. This area, together with Guanfu saltworks in Jiulong Peninsula, has become a highly concentrated area of Guangdong saltworks. Guide saltworks is located in Shajing Town, Baoan District. At the end of the Yuan Dynasty, the leaders of the salt people and farmers in Shenzhen also rose in succession, and Zeng Bo of Dong Tang Village led the salt people to occupy the Guide saltworks. The picture shows the Great Ancestral Hall of East Tang Zeng. During the Yuan and Ming Dynasties, Guide Salt Field was still one of the thirteen salt fields in Guangdong Province, and its salt department was still located in the Song Dynasty, which is near today's Yabian Village in Shajing Town. According to Qing Jiaqing's "Xin 'an County Records", "The stone pagoda was built by the Song ambassador Yan in Jiading, northeast of Shajing Village, Sandu. When the bridge was completed, the waves were rough. If there is a Yue Long, it will stand in this town. "

Overseas Chinese architecture

As descendants of immigrants, Shajing people are braver than their ancestors in finding their homes, and some even crossed the ocean to build their homes in Tokyo, Saigon, Dike, Phnom Penh, Haiphong and other places on the Indian zhina Peninsula. It is said that an overseas Chinese named Chen Peilin married a daughter of the Cambodian royal family. Another overseas Chinese even became brothers with Wang Baoda's ancestors in Vietnam. Overseas Chinese living abroad can't cut off the connection with their homeland, and some of them come back to build houses, leaving us with many buildings that combine Chinese and western styles. Located in Qigang Village, it is a temple-style school building built by Chen Zhixi, an overseas Chinese in Qi Gang. Three rooms and two entrances, hard roof, rolling ash tile, rising, granite corner. The fair-faced exterior wall and dado are stacked with four stones. The eaves board is engraved with dramatic figures, flowers and plants, hidden treasures and other patterns, and the door plaque reads "Xi Zhi Family School" in four Chinese characters. Xi Zhi Family Building is one of the earliest overseas Chinese buildings in Shenzhen.
