Harbin Institute of Physical Education, founded in 1956, has become a sports institution with distinctive ice and snow characteristics, reasonable discipline layout, coordinated professional development, and outstanding achievements in teaching, scientific research, competition training and social service. It is the main base for the cultivation of talents in ice and snow sports in China, an excellent college for undergraduate teaching level evaluation by the Ministry of Education, and an authorized unit for doctoral degree in physical education.
