Under what weather conditions should the elderly not exercise outdoors?
It is more important for the elderly to choose a suitable weather environment for exercise and fitness. Good weather can promote the effect of exercise and fitness; On the contrary, improper weather conditions will make exercise get twice the result with half the effort and even lose more. The elderly have poor physical function, weak resistance and more or less some health problems. When doing physical exercise, especially outdoor exercise, they are more easily influenced by the external environment. Common weather and climate not suitable for outdoor sports and fitness are:

(1) There is a saying that exercising in cold winter, "three days in summer and three days in winter", can enhance the body's adaptability to extreme weather for ordinary people. But for the elderly, winter exercise and fitness must be taboo. Winter is cold, cold wave or storm strikes, the temperature suddenly drops sharply, and the cold wind is particularly fierce, so it is not suitable for outdoor sports. The above situation may make the elderly with poor resistance more susceptible to diseases such as colds and pharyngitis, and also increase the risk of frostbite.

(2) After it rains or snows, outdoor sports and fitness places, such as parks, playgrounds or roads, often have water or snow. If you are outdoors at this time, it is easy to slip and fall. In severe weather conditions such as thunderstorms, outdoor activities, especially long-distance running and swimming, are even prohibited.

(3) In foggy days, there is a lot of moisture and dust in the air, with low air pressure and high humidity, which makes people feel difficult to breathe and sweat does not volatilize. In addition, visibility is also low in heavy fog. At this time, participating in outdoor sports and fitness is easy to produce a strong sense of fatigue, which not only increases the risk of sports injury, but also is not suitable for participating in outdoor sports under such weather conditions.

(4) When the temperature exceeds 32℃ in hot summer, outdoor sports (except swimming) are not suitable. If you exercise, you should avoid direct sunlight and try to do it in the morning and evening. When the temperature is too high, you must pay attention to replenish enough water before, during and after exercise, and use sports drinks as much as possible to avoid heatstroke and dehydration.
