Harbin Cultural Park is located in the city center, adjacent to Gokurakuji, Confucian Temple and military industrial park. It is a multicultural exchange center and a provincial-level cultural relics protection unit in Heilongjiang. In the park, there is the Church of the Rest of Our Lady (alias: Usbinskaya Church) built in 1908, the bell tower and the confessional pavilion built in 1930. It used to be the graveyard of expatriates from Poland, Czech Republic, America, Britain, Germany, France and Italy. Orthodox Church, Judaism, Soviet Red Army and some Israelis, Russians, Tatars and Dutch also opened cemeteries here, attracting many historians to visit and study here every year, as well as descendants of the deceased. It has become a bridge and link connecting Chinese and foreign friendship.
After more than 50 years of development, the park has accumulated a profound historical and cultural heritage, and the special public welfare activities held every year have always been the core and highlight of the park's cultural activities. In recent years, parks have spared no effort to promote the development of cultural undertakings. Large-scale cultural and sports activities have been held successively, such as Heilongjiang Children's Painting and Calligraphy Competition, June 1 theme cartoon drama performance, "My mother and I plant trees together" public welfare activities, left-behind children's love garden, and "Dancing Songjiang" healthy dance competition. The garden covers an area of 22.8 hectares, aiming at creating a garden environment where flowers can be seen in three seasons, and paying attention to the cultivation and protection of plants and flowers. At present, there are 74 rare tree species, including Prunus armeniaca, Tilia amurensis and Phellodendron amurense, 65,438 trees and 4,000 shrubs, and more than 20 century-old trees known as "green living fossils".
In order to meet the diverse needs of citizens, in recent years, the park has successively opened 10,000-meter fitness squares for middle-aged and elderly people, and added public service facilities such as seats, garbage bins, mobile public toilets, vending machines, cold fog machines and outdoor hand sinks.
