Yoga is fitness, there is no problem you mentioned. As for the kind that can improve temperament, the key is whether you know how to cultivate your sexual desire in self-cultivation. Sex, heart also. Life, phase also. The heart is the mother of qi, and the mother is strong. Therefore, elegance is naturally generated.

The word yoga has been hot for a long time, and there are many schools of yoga.

For health training, I personally admire yoga practice. Anyone who has been exposed to yoga practice and benefited from it will answer this question. As for improving temperament, yoga is really effective. Of course, the understanding of temperament may be biased, and some people may prefer a strength figure, so the perfect strength line of fitness will be considered as the realization of "temperament". But most people should think that regular body lines and graceful posture are the expression of temperament. Fitness has been known to most people, especially those bodybuilders' exaggerated physical display. You may feel full of vision, but yoga may stay in the stretching stage. Let's take this question today to talk about my understanding of yoga!

There is a metaphor in classical yoga: the body is an ox cart, the consciousness is the reins, and the emotion is the passengers on the cart. When breathing, the whip on the ox cart soothes the passengers, and the ox cart is driven by the reins to reach the destination. Through metaphor, we can see that yoga can move easily only when the body, consciousness, emotion, breath and mind are combined. If it can't cooperate with each other, it is like a swamp trapped in an abyss, making it difficult to move forward. So yoga is regarded as: consistency, unity and correspondence.

——————————————————— Zen.

Yoga, as we all know, is a transliteration of Sanskrit "Yoga". The word "yoga" comes from two Sanskrit roots-"Yuji" and "gham". Together, these two roots mean "connected by a yoke". Yoke is a tool for connecting shafts on the necks of cattle and horses. Taking yoke as a metaphor, the following meanings can be extended: continuity, connection, combination, unity, unity and unity, and another meaning of "harmony and unity"

A linguist once compared "yoga" with the English word "Yoke" with similar pronunciation, and found that this word also means "yoke", and its Latin origin also means "connection" and "combination".

"Yoga" is translated into Chinese as "yoga". Yoga is also called "Yoga", and the Chinese pinyin is "Yu Jia".

In Chinese dictionaries, the word "yoga" is used. Literally, "home" and "home" are different, and "home" has only one pronunciation. As for A, Mandarin has two pronunciations: A and Qie, which are usually put in front when used with yoga. In Buddhist scriptures, the second pronunciation "qie" is often used, such as Jia's pronunciation, Lengga Sutra and the earth theory of yoga masters. In a sense, the word "Jia" refers to jewelry worn on a woman's head; However, the word "home" has no independent meaning and is mostly used for translation.

The translation of "yoga" into "yoga" is transliteration, and the original meaning of "yoga" cannot be understood literally in Chinese. In Buddhist scriptures, there has been a free translation, and the old translation is called "correspondence", which is contrary to the original intention of Sanskrit mentioned above. Although there are similarities, it is obviously inappropriate and not comprehensive. Therefore, the word "yoga" has been widely transliterated since Master Xuanzang in the Tang Dynasty. The word "yoga" also takes the meaning of "correspondence" in Tang Xuanzang's translation of "On the Land of Yoga Teachers". This consistency can be summarized as five aspects: consistency with environment, consistency with practice, consistency with reason, consistency with fruits and consistency with machines.

Corresponding to the environment is the state of mind, just like understanding the ontological reality of things through the dust environment;

Corresponding behavior refers to the consistency of meditation, wisdom and behavior through meditation;

Corresponding to rationality means that the method of doing things is integrated with rational truth, and things are not hindered;

Corresponding to the result, it is to unite the yogi with the proven Taoist fruit to complete the highest goal of practice;

Corresponding machine refers to the return of fruit circle, the breadth of others and the interests of all beings.

Many people try to sum up the definition of yoga in one sentence. It is said that yoga is "harmony between man and nature"; It is said that yoga is "the harmonious unity of body and mind, man and nature"; It is also said that yoga is a method of self-cultivation. China scholars translated "correspondence" according to the meaning of freedom, and concluded that yoga is "to control one's body and mind so as to correspond to something".

Arobando, a famous Indian yoga scholar, defines yoga as "an organized effort of self-improvement, by expressing its potential of existence and the unity of individuals with the universe and transcendental existence in the universe (we can see some)". China scholar Xu Fancheng defines yoga as "the road to truth" ... All these things generally come from the original meaning of the word "yoga", which means "connection" and "combination".

The Indian Yoga Sutra, regarded by ancient and modern yoga scholars as one of the fundamental classics of yoga, has another description of the definition of yoga.

The Yoga Sutra begins with a Sanskrit proverb "Yoga Cittavrtti Nirodha" to clarify what yoga is. In this expression, there are four words:

Yoga-yoga,

Citta- consciousness,

Vrtti-all kinds of emotions and tendencies,

Nitro DHA- control.

If we use the grammar habits of China people to connect, we can say that yoga is the control of consciousness, mood and tendency. Yoga is the stop of the mind. At present, the general expression is that yoga is to control the change of consciousness.

Yoga is to control the change of consciousness-this definition of yoga in Yoga Sutra obviously focuses on the activities at the level of consciousness in yoga practice, which is inconsistent with the current situation that yoga circles attach great importance to body shape and equate it with bodybuilding.

In fact, from the origin and goal of primitive yoga, yoga is not a simple physical exercise, but has the goal height of self-cultivation, meditation, consciousness, and even individual consciousness (self) and universe ontology (self). The starting point and process of achieving these goals are based on the control of "consciousness change"; And body movements are only the assistance and promotion to complete these processes.

On the basis of the above definition, let's understand the connotation of yoga.

The Change of Control Consciousness not only talks about the purpose of yoga, but also talks about the process of yoga.

From the initial control of consciousness, yoga makes the change of consciousness spiral layer by layer according to a specific trajectory until awakening and liberation. This is a process of overlapping phased goals and pointing directly at the general goal, which is not completed at one time and contains many phased goals at different levels. In other words, "controlling the change of consciousness" has a general goal and many levels of grading goals, which constitute a complete order-this is the process of yoga.

The overall goal of yoga, in the Yoga Sutra, is to return the perceiver to his true colors. This view is quite similar to the "true colors", "local scenery" and "Buddha nature" of China Zen. This is a fundamental and highest goal. Usually, yoga practitioners only pay attention to the transformation and control of consciousness, or the achievement of staged goals, such as Samadhi.

Yoga Sutra summarizes these processes of yoga into "eight branches":

The first is discipline: or prohibition, which includes five principles: non-violence, no lying, no stealing, no indulgence and no greed. These five prohibitions are basically consistent with the "five commandments" of Buddhist laymen (no killing, no cursing, no stealing, no lewdness and no greed), and it seems that there are also certain religious prohibitions. In fact, these are the needs of self-cultivation and self-cultivation, as well as the needs of purifying the mind and restraining the body and mind from practicing yoga. Therefore, for a true practitioner, these commandments are very important. As the Yoga Sutra emphasizes, "No matter when, where, under what circumstances and what class you belong to, this is an unbreakable oath."

The second is diligence: or persuasion, which includes five categories: internal and external cleanliness, contentment, control of body and senses, reading classics, and praying for the universe itself (the god of freedom). These can be said to be the progress and foundation of yoga practice Compared with the above-mentioned "keeping precepts", keeping precepts is to purify the mind through external constraints; And diligence is the self-regulation of the mind.

The third is physical adjustment: it mainly refers to meditation, but of course it does not exclude all forms that can make the body comfortable. The general requirement, as stated in the Yoga Sutra, is that "posture must be stable and comfortable" in order to "control anxiety and meditate endlessly". Among them, sitting (lotus sitting) is the usual sitting posture.

The fourth is pranayama: The Yoga Sutra says, "Controlling inhalation and exhalation is pranayama." By pranayama, you can activate the inner light, "so that the spirit is suitable for meditation." It can be seen that pranayama is preparing for meditation.

Fifth, focus on the mind: also known as sensory control, it is a comprehensive control of spirit, perception and senses, so that "spirit is separated from perception, perception is not mixed with senses, and attention is integrated with itself", thus "achieving the highest control of senses".

Sixth, concentration: also known as concentration, that is, focusing consciousness on an object or a specific environment, such as navel, nose tip or natural scenery. The difference between contemplation and mindtaking is that mindtaking is to let the scattered mind receive, let the spirit get rid of the free and scattered perception, and let the perception get rid of the bondage of the senses. And concentration is to move towards a certain edge again. It should be said that yoga meditation is mainly a process of grasping the heart and concentrating. Meditation is based on pranayama and aims at meditation.

The seventh is meditation: in the Yoga Sutra, meditation is the constant perception of the circumferential flow, that is, the mind continuously and wholeheartedly perceives it with the target it points to when focusing on it. The difference between concentration and concentration is that concentration is a process of making consciousness tend to an object; And meditation means that the heart is attached to this thing, and the heart is clear and clear. Indian Buddhism calls this situation "Zen" and Chinese translation is "meditation". This language is called Zen.

The eighth is Samadhi: also known as Samadhi, it is defined in Yoga Sutra as "only the meditation object exists, and the perception of oneself disappears". In other words, the walker's "self" consciousness disappears, and his consciousness is completely devoted to the visual object, reaching a mental state.

These eight processes or levels do not directly list the concept of "meditation", but in fact meditation runs through all the processes from taking the heart to samadhi. On these different levels, there are elements of meditation, but the levels are different, the depth is different and the levels are different. In the Yoga Sutra, it is also clear that there are different types and levels of yoga meditation, including "seed meditation" and "seedless meditation". The highest meditation is "the perception of truth, discrimination and joy produced by the combination of the true self and the universe", which is obviously the deepening and sublimation of Samadha.

At this point, we can generally make it clear that the basic connotation of yoga includes the above eight elements.

These eight elements can be divided into five categories:

One is physical and mental prohibition (external prohibition and internal prohibition);

The second is to adjust the body (posture);

The third is to adjust interest rates;

The fourth is to adjust the mind (meditation);

The fifth is meditation and liberation.

A complete yoga system is a complete process from abstinence to meditation. Overweight asana or meditation will affect the comprehensive effect of yoga practice.

Through the above introduction of yoga, we can clearly understand that yoga practice is not only a physical change, but also an understanding of mind, consciousness and Zen. You should know that the change of a person's temperament is more important inside than outside. Yoga changes the body from the inside out.

It is to control people's consciousness, breathing, mind, body and emotions as a whole, and these are the most basic things of people. If the starting point of your practice is correct, it is a virtuous circle; If the starting point of your practice is wrong, it is a vicious circle. Whether it is a benign cycle or a vicious cycle, it is linked, the range of activities of surrounding tissues and structures increases, and muscle tissue strain and injury are not easy to occur.

yoga

Can persist!

Yoga and fitness have their own advantages in improving temperament!

First, the internal cultivation of yoga, let us stretch our limbs, adjust our breath and feel the meaning of life in gentle and smart yoga music!

Yoga exercises can improve our muscle balance, endurance, control and strength. Especially muscle flexibility exercises, there is a more obvious improvement!

And the improvement of these abilities has a great influence on the changes of our bodies. With the deepening of training, it has a subtle effect on improving our temperament!

Second, fitness training is the most direct and fastest way to improve your body shape.

As we all know, the so-called shaping means that through muscle exercise, the circumference of muscles changes subtly and the proportion of the body changes harmoniously.

Tightness and elasticity of muscles. The graceful change of figure is an indispensable external condition for improving temperament. You have to practice!

Therefore, in order to improve temperament, yoga and fitness are indispensable. It can be described as a golden partner!

I think this question is a bit broad.

As far as superficial posture is concerned, both yoga and fitness should be beneficial.

But as far as improving temperament is concerned, everyone should find a way that suits them according to their own needs.

We dig out those profound connotations only in terms of the information that posture and body language can convey.

Our body language is a kind of information that can be conveyed to the world instead of us. It spoke for us even before we spoke.

Not only will others judge us according to what we think of ourselves, but we will also judge us according to our own views.

The posture of each of us can really affect our inner feelings.

This is why body language is so important.

Think about it: Do you prefer to have a crush on someone who looks uncomfortable with his arms crossed, or do you prefer to have a crush on someone who is sunny, confident and elegant?

We are often reminded by our parents, partners or teachers not to be listless.

In fact, they are not only reminding us to adjust our body posture, but also reminding us to adjust our energy.

Humpback sends a heavy, docile and unsafe message to the outside world with his chest.

Bad posture will make our spine collapse, leading to a decline in our overall sense of self.

When we hunch our chest, it's like a layer of armor is formed around our heart, which makes us feel stiff, nervous and at a loss.

Hold your head high and your spine straight, which means confidence, openness and acceptance.

Amy Cuddy, a social psychologist, popularized body language science in her Ted talk "Your body language may shape who you are".

The study of body language tells us that to improve ourselves, we can start by preparing our bodies.

So yoga asana practice must be a good method!

At the same time, practicing yoga is not only physical, but also can enrich us through breathing and thinking.

Yoga practice helps us release anxiety and tension and reduce the accumulation of stress.

Yoga posture:

Spiritual improvement will be largely reflected in our physical appearance.

Now more and more people realize the health benefits of yoga.

Almost everyone of us will experience some degree of stress, which may come from work, interpersonal relationship, finance and so on.

Yoga practice can help us balance all aspects of life.

But everything needs us:

Reading.

First of all, yoga is suitable for stretching and activating our deep muscles. Yoga can change your temperament and lengthen your body lines without swelling your muscles. However, yoga is not effective in reducing fat, because it is mainly slow and gentle and suitable for relaxation. Let the body and mind relax.

Secondly, fitness refers to aerobic exercise and gym equipment exercise. These exercises tend to be intense, which will speed up the heart rate and burn fat quickly, which is conducive to increasing muscles.
