I think anyone who works out regularly has experienced the situation you described in your question. Besides, who doesn't like to wrap himself in a blanket, watch Netflix and eat ice cream!
I'm not a super bodybuilder with hard abdominal muscles, but I do exercise a lot and have managed to squeeze in several marathons in the past few years. The following is my list of things that may help you:
When they say choose a sport or your favorite sport, they are not wrong. For me, running used to be like this. If you don't want to exercise, just walk on the treadmill and eventually become a 5-8 km run. Until someone told me that running may be harmful to your back, so try to avoid running.
Do it in the morning. The first thing I do in the morning is exercise, because no matter how lazy I am, I know that once the exercise is over, I will feel good all day. Besides, I have been lying in the blanket for 8 hours, so I don't feel uncomfortable.
Moderate exercise is better than no exercise. I often don't get up on time, because I slept late last night, and it seems a waste of time to exercise when I need to go to work. But then, I asked myself, I have two choices now: no exercise at all or fast and low-intensity exercise. Which is better? I often do a short period of high-intensity exercise to keep my motivation.
Exercise and diet. I found a rule in my life. When I don't exercise for a long time, I eat like a pig. My psychological understanding is that when I exercise, I feel that eating a high-calorie meal or dessert is a waste of my hard work in the morning. Why do I spend an hour sweating in the morning and spend it at night? I usually replace high-calorie snacks with eggs.
Get up and go to work. Don't want to exercise this morning? Choose the simplest and lightest exercise you can do in your sleep. For me, that's chest exercise. If I'm not in the mood for exercise, I'll start with dumbbells. After two sets, my adrenaline surged.
Have your own gym. I know it sounds conceited, but it's not. I joined F45 earlier this year and spent $500 on an eight-week challenge. Unfortunately, the seventh week was closed because of Covid 19, but at that time I learned a valuable lesson. Most exercises can be done at home with a pair of dumbbells and my own weight. I don't have to pay much money every week or month. I can buy more weight to gain weight. It's cheaper, and I don't have to leave home. I can exercise at any time. I don't need to look beautiful in front of ladies!
