Capital Normal University Senior Middle School is a full-time public complete middle school supervised by Haidian District Education Committee in Beijing, and it is the first batch of key middle schools and demonstration high schools in Beijing.

According to official website, from June 2065438 to October 2005 10, the school has six campuses: the headquarters, the first campus, the Daxing South campus, the Yongding campus, the Changping campus and the Tongzhou campus, and undertakes the second affiliated middle school of Capital Normal University. This department has more than 1000 students and more than 30 classes.

The Second Affiliated Middle School of Capital Normal University was founded in 1964, and was originally garden village Middle School. In 2004, it was renamed the Second Affiliated Middle School of Capital Normal University. At present, the school is divided into two campuses: junior high school and senior high school.

The middle school affiliated to Capital Normal University was founded in 19 14, and was founded by Xu Shuzheng, the deputy director of the Warfare Department of Beiyang Government, the northwest frontier ambassador and the commander-in-chief of the northwest frontier defense force. It was originally named Zheng Zhi Middle School. 1920, renamed as "Private Chengda Middle School"; 1923, the name of the school was changed to "Private Chengda Senior Junior High School"; 1952, the school merged with Shangyi Middle School and was renamed Beijing No.38 Middle School.

1954, renamed as "Beijing No.42 Middle School"; 1958, the school is affiliated to Beijing Normal University and named as "Middle School Attached to Beijing Normal University"; 1992, renamed as "Middle School Attached to Capital Normal University". In 2002, the school was first recognized as a model high school in Beijing.
