What is the sudden pain in the wrist? Didn't you get hurt or exert yourself? What should we do?
1 Most of them are tenosynovitis of wrist. The tendon sheath of styloid process of radius is caused by frequent activities of thumb and wrist. The tendon and tendon sheath of this wrist rub repeatedly, resulting in aseptic inflammation. With inflammation, the tendon sheath will proliferate and narrow, the tendon will not slide smoothly in the tendon sheath, and it is easy to feel wrist pain.

Symptoms When the finger bends, it suddenly stays in the semi-bending position, and the finger can neither straighten nor bend, as if it were suddenly "stuck". Most of them can't clearly point out the painful parts, but only complain about the "awkward" joints and the feeling of joint pain or weakness during exercise. Sometimes I feel banded pain.

It is judged as numbness, edema, tingling and sensitivity of the wrist or fingers, or pain when pressing, and the joints are inflexible. It is difficult and weak to bend your fingers to take things, and the discomfort is aggravated when your fingers move.

Remarks: Cooking frequently, it is more common for lactating women to hold their children.

What to do?

1, acupuncture

Acupuncture therapy can quickly treat tenosynovitis of the wrist, so acupuncture can stimulate the tendon and tendon sheath near the wrist. By repeatedly pulling out the needle, the tendon can continue to slide in the tendon sheath, thus relieving pain and continuing wrist activities.

2. Medicated massage

The use of some topical anti-inflammatory painkillers, such as Voltalin massage on the wrist, can promote the dissipation of inflammation. Can prevent and relieve symptoms.

3. Hot compress method

Warm the water bag with a hot towel and apply it directly to your wrist, two or three times a day, each time 15 to 20 minutes. Hot compress can improve local blood circulation and relieve local discomfort.

4. Rest and recovery

Wrist tenosynovitis is mostly caused by wrist strain. If you pay more attention to rest in the future, try not to exert yourself on your hands, especially if you often do manual work with your child in your arms. After about 3-6 months of culture, tenosynovitis of wrist can be repaired by itself.

2 triangular fibrocartilage complex injury triangular fibrocartilage complex injury is mostly caused by acute injury, such as hand overstretching when falling from a height to the ground, resulting in compressive injury; When grasping an object, due to the change of the direction of force application, the wrist suddenly turns, resulting in laceration and so on. Basketball, volleyball, tennis and cheerleading are all high-risk groups; In addition, long-term improper hand strength and excessive use cause the carpal bones to squeeze and collide with each other, resulting in cumulative injuries.

Symptomatic patients often have pain on the ulnar side of their wrists when rotating them, which makes it difficult to twist towels, drive and use spoons. There are also many patients who have pain on the ulnar side of their wrists when they stand up in a bed or chair.

It is diagnosed as diffuse and deep pain or soreness and discomfort on the ulnar side of the wrist, and sometimes it has a burning sensation, which generally radiates to the dorsal side and rarely radiates to the palmar side. Grasping objects hard can also induce pain, leading to a weakening of grip strength. These symptoms will be aggravated when the wrist is deviated, the wrist is overstretched, and the forearm is rotated hard. Patients often complain about the pain on the ulnar side of the wrist when rotating the wrist, which makes it difficult to twist the towel, drive and use the spoon.

What to do?

If the patient's medical history and examination suggest that TFCC is damaged, the X-ray examination is normal, and there are no signs of clinical instability, long-arm plaster or brace can be used for fixation for 4-6 weeks in the acute stage. Physical therapy can be applied occasionally. If the symptoms are not relieved after fixation, further examination, such as magnetic resonance imaging and arthroscopy, is needed.

Carpal tunnel syndrome Carpal tunnel is a narrow canal on the palmar surface of wrist joint, with tendons and nerves in the middle. These include the median nerve which controls the movement and sensation of the thumb, forefinger and middle finger. When the carpal tunnel is narrow, it will compress the nerves, resulting in numbness, weakness and pain in the palm. This is the so-called carpal tunnel syndrome, also known as "mouse hand".

Symptoms 1, pain

The onset of carpal tunnel syndrome is slow. At first, it only showed occasional pain at night and pain in the morning. Just like a small needle, it seldom feels pain during the day. In addition to grasping objects (such as books and mobile phones), it can be obviously relieved by moving your fingers.

Step 2 be powerless

In the progress of carpal tunnel syndrome, the muscle strength of thumb, index finger and middle finger will be weakened, and the ability to hold fists and objects will be limited. Occasionally, things in your hand will suddenly fall off, and actions such as using chopsticks and tying buttons will become clumsy.

3. Sensory disorder

There will be numbness in the palm of your hand, and some people will feel the swelling of your fingers. In fact, there is no such thing as alternating hot and cold hands.

In order to make a diagnosis, the diagnostician will do a series of tests, such as Tinel sign (positive numbness and pain in the innervation area after tapping the injured nerve), Phalen test/wrist flexion test (positive numbness and pain in the innervation area of the median nerve within 1 min).

1 What should I do? First treat basic diseases, such as diabetes and gout;

2, drug or surgical treatment, carpal tunnel incision to relieve the median nerve compression, at present, minimally invasive surgery can be used, swelling and stiffness can occur in the early postoperative period, which can be relieved by raising the arm and moving the fingers.

3, postoperative rehabilitation treatment

(1) Electroacupuncture Therapy

Take thenar, Sanjian, Hegu, Yangchi, Yangxi, Waiguan, Shousanli and Quchi. After acupuncture gets angry, connect SDZ-Ⅱ electroacupuncture therapeutic apparatus, and keep the needle for 20min, three times a week.

(2) Manual therapy

Combine traditional massage with modern joint mobilization, and use methods such as pushing and kneading. Relax the soft tissue around the wrist to make the joint smooth. The traction and sliding manipulation of thumb radiocarpal joint and metacarpophalangeal joint is carried out step by step, depending on the patient's tolerance. Note that the direction of operation should be from the far end to the near end.

(3) Functional training

Carry out nerve impulse exercises of passive muscle movement and active contraction, including wrist flexion and extension, thumb flexion and extension, palm to palm, finger to palm and other active exercises; Do traction and resistance exercises, increase wrist flexion and extension and forearm rotation, as well as wrist palm support exercises.

(4) physical therapy

According to the different symptoms of patients in functional training, pulse magnetic therapy, traditional Chinese medicine decoction, ultrashort wave, interference electricity and other treatments are given to promote local blood circulation, relieve swelling and pain, loosen adhesion and soften scars.

(5) Soak in warm water

Soak your hands in warm water twice a day for 15 minutes each time. Appropriate Chinese herbal medicines for promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis can be added to the water, which is beneficial to improve the blood circulation of your hands and reduce the edema of carpal tunnel synovium.

(6) Restrict activities

Braces are used to fix the patient's wrist in a horizontally extended position, which limits the activity, so that the patient's hands can get a full rest and avoid hyperemia caused by excessive activity.

(7) Raise the affected limb

It is especially useful for patients with a history of coma at night. After soaking in warm water, the hands are congested, the arterial blood supply is obviously increased, and the veins are swollen. At this time, if the affected limb is raised, it is beneficial to venous return, and the blood circulation in the carpal tunnel is more conducive to detumescence, reducing the pressure in the carpal tunnel and making the numbness disappear.

(8) Physical exercise

The wrist and fingers are fully extended back. When the finger and the other hand feel pressure at the wrist joint, the hands can push each other, 2~3 times a day, 20~30 times each time. Make the 9 tendons in carpal tunnel have a certain tension every day to squeeze the synovium between the tendons and around them, so as not to proliferate, which has a "weight loss" effect on the proliferated synovium.

4 Wrist Synovitis Usually, we often see that knee joints can cause synovitis, but in fact, synovitis can also occur in wrist joints. Synovitis is a kind of aseptic inflammation, which can cause wrist pain due to wrist sprain and various wrist injuries.

How? It is recommended to apply local hot compress for 20 minutes each time and three times a day. Now consider oral anti-inflammatory and analgesic drugs to relax muscles and promote blood circulation. Secondly, you should be able to fix your wrist with a wristband, so that your wrist can rest as little as possible and will slowly recover.
