Then martial arts schools are no strangers to China people. The once "Jingwumen" was almost unknown, and the practice of martial arts by the whole people was once a feature of an era. However, with the development of the times, Wushu, as one of the four quintessences of China, has gradually disappeared in people's minds. There are only three or four Wushu schools with China characteristics in Changchun, but there are more than 10 Taekwondo schools from South Korea (more than 30 unofficial schools), which have a good development momentum.
Guo Zhanlin, who is well-known in the martial arts field in Changchun, started a martial arts school near Dongsandao Street about five years ago to teach China martial arts. At present, there are more than 10 students, and the monthly tuition fee is 70 yuan. Many students come from poor families, so Guo Zhanlin won't accept their tuition. Guo Zhanlin said frankly that at present, Zhanlin martial arts school cannot make ends meet and it is difficult to maintain. Ms. Zhu, a native of Changchun, opened a taekwondo gym near Changchun 208 Hospital six months ago. Before that, she had opened a branch in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province. At present, there are more than 40 students in her library in Changchun, and the tuition fee is 120 yuan per month, which is very affordable.
According to the reporter's investigation, martial arts schools are neglected and taekwondo is favored.
[Cost difference] Martial arts schools have low costs and few people study.
At present, the fees of martial arts schools in Changchun generally range from 70 yuan to 120 yuan every month, among which there are many martial arts schools like Guo Zhanlin that are exempt from part of tuition fees. In various parks in Changchun, there are also some martial arts coaches who teach various traditional martial arts for free or at a small tuition fee. Even so, students who come to learn traditional martial arts are rare. The monthly fee of Taekwondo Gym is the lowest 120 yuan, with an average of around 150 yuan. The highest difference between the tuition fees of the two is more than double, but there are many people signing up. Guo Zhanlin said that his martial arts school has been established for five years, and there are only thirty or forty students at the most, or because students come to study during the holidays. "The lack of students has caused most martial arts schools in Changchun to lose money." Guo Zhanlin said helplessly.
[Environmental Differences] The environment of Taekwondo Gymnasium is easily accepted by people.
The reporter visited and found that several Chinese martial arts venues are relatively old and simple. In contrast, the environment of Taekwondo Gymnasium is bright and clean. Ms. Li, who is practicing Taekwondo with her son, told the reporter: "Let children learn Taekwondo because they want to exercise and hone their will. The environment of Taekwondo Hall is more comfortable and formal, and there are more children of the same age. " When the reporter asked her why she didn't choose to study China traditional martial arts, Ms. Li said that she didn't want her children to take the road of martial arts, and China martial arts was too difficult for children, and it would take more time. Taekwondo was enough.
[Cognitive Differences] Foreigners prefer China Kung Fu.
In a martial arts school, the reporter interviewed Mr. Liu who had just returned from Canada. At present, I am studying Chen's 24-style mixed-yuan Taiji biography here. Mr. Liu, 27, said that in the eyes of foreigners, China is a mysterious country, and China Kung Fu movies are very popular overseas. Abroad, if they know that you are from China, they will ask you if you know some China Kung Fu. So this time he spent four months visiting relatives to learn China Kung Fu and then brought it back to Canada. On the one hand, he can keep fit, on the other hand, he can make some contributions to promoting our traditional culture. Mr. Liu said that after he returned to China, he found that China people "like" learning Taekwondo more, which shows that China people have different perceptions.
According to relevant industry statistics, there are currently more than 200 Taekwondo gymnasiums in Beijing. In Shanghai, Tianjin, Guangzhou and other big cities, the development status of Taekwondo is basically the same. Shanxi was a blank province of Taekwondo Gymnasium before 2002. In recent years, dozens of Taekwondo gymnasiums have sprung up in various cities and counties in Shanxi, and tens of thousands of teenagers in the province have practiced Taekwondo.
Taekwondo was introduced to ordinary people in China in the mid-1990s, and now it has become popular in many places in China. Become a fashion symbol. When all kinds of Taekwondo gymnasiums with different scales appear all over the city, traditional martial arts with a history of thousands of years are losing their foothold in the hearts of the younger generation of China people.
The reporter once saw at the gathering of many units in Taiyuan that the white-haired grandparents proudly invited their grandchildren to perform Taekwondo on stage. Mishima Taekwondo Gymnasium in Nanjing Drum Tower is visited by many people every day, ranging from children aged five or six to young people in their thirties.
Some parents say that Taekwondo stresses etiquette and has beautiful uniform clothes. In the eyes of these students and parents, the service, ribbon-cutting ceremony and etiquette of Taekwondo are very distinctive and fresh. The basic movements of Taekwondo are simple and easy to learn, and you can experience the pleasure of promotion after long-term study. And these are not provided by martial arts.
Taekwondo is a fashionable sport for many urban white-collar workers. Some Taekwondo gymnasiums in Taiyuan are located in the prime location of the city, and the membership card is more than 2,000 yuan per year. Some students told reporters that learning Taekwondo has become one of the signs that they are cool enough.
Dongzhimen-Chaoyangmen area on the East Second Ring Road in Beijing is one of the most expensive areas in Beijing. The total length is less than two kilometers, but there are more than four Taekwondo gymnasiums in high-end office buildings. Although the price of taekwondo gym here is more than twice as expensive as that of colleges and universities, no matter the size of the gym, every one has no worries for customers.
On the other hand, martial arts schools are mostly built on the edge of the city and in remote places, becoming schools in the corner of the city. A famous national Wushu athlete retired and started a Wushu school, but it could only be built in the suburbs. China once claimed that hundreds of millions of people practiced martial arts. But when the reporter asked the person in charge of the Wushu Management Center of the State Sports General Administration not long ago, they didn't know how many people in the world were practicing Wushu. It is reported that more than 30 million people are keen on Taekwondo in more than 40 countries and regions around the world.
Huang Linghai, deputy director of the Wushu Management Center of the State Sports General Administration, said that China began to promote Wushu to the world in the early 1990s, and it has only been 10 years now, which is much shorter than the promotion time of Taekwondo. In addition, the National Wushu Management Center had no time to develop Wushu into the market before. A few years ago, it mainly focused on how to enter the Olympic Games, and paid little attention to the market development of Wushu.
Yang Guang, a famous female Wushu athlete, said that the rules of Wushu are not uniform and there are too many schools. At present, there are 130 kinds of boxing. Taekwondo has been commercialized for decades. Just like McDonald's and KFC, there are unified standards that can be applied quickly.
Although Taekwondo "sells well", some people in the martial arts circle think that Taekwondo is just a sports fast food, which is far less comprehensive than martial arts. More and more people in the world are practicing Wushu, and the potential development market of Wushu is very large.
Danfu Liu, Ph.D., Beijing Sport University, was the earliest athlete who came into contact with Taekwondo in the Mainland. He has compiled a large number of books on the teaching and promotion of Taekwondo. Danfu Liu believes that the popularity of Taekwondo in China does not mean that Taekwondo is superior to China Wushu. The key problem lies in China Wushu itself. "Martial arts projects such as Taekwondo have already had transformation experience to meet the market demand, such as the creation of uniforms and grades, while martial arts has not yet made changes to meet the market demand." Wushu can not simply exclude Taekwondo, but should learn more valuable aspects of Taekwondo in commercial development, so that Wushu can be carried forward first in domestic cities.
Wenqing Yuan, who is praised as "the prince of the world martial arts" by martial arts circles at home and abroad, recently officially accepted 18 first-generation disciples in a martial arts hall named after him in Taiyuan. Polish boy "Yang" is one of the disciples of 18, and he eats, lives and trains with everyone. "Yang" told reporters that he has won many martial arts champions in Poland, and practicing martial arts can make him relax.
Wushu is rich in connotation, and most kinds of boxing have the functions of fitness and self-defense. Huang Linghai said that the main development direction of Wushu in China is national fitness. Internationally, the International Wushu Federation has established the Traditional Wushu Committee, which enables China Wushu to be inherited and developed all over the world. At present, there are 102 official members of the International Wushu Federation, and many people in non-member countries are practicing. All the countries that Huang Linghai has been to have practiced martial arts. Wushu is very popular all over the world, and the National Wushu Management Center has been promoting Wushu to all parts of the world in a purposeful and planned way for more than ten years.
Music used to be the "forbidden area" of the 9th National Games in Tai Ji Chuan. At the 10th National Games not long ago, the competition rules in Tai Ji Chuan were reformed, allowing athletes to play music during the competition, and athletes' costumes became diversified. The styles, patterns and colors of some clothes are designed by athletes themselves.
Although only slight changes have taken place in music and clothing, it shows that China Wushu is trying to break the shackles of the past, appear in front of the world with a new look, and explore new ways to win more attention.
