Diabolo-Introduction to Playing

Diabolo diabolo

Diabolo shaking is a beneficial activity integrating entertainment and fitness. Diabolo sounds and enjoys it. There was a saying: "Don't envy immortals and officials, be happy in old age, be healthy in white, and diabolo belongs to childhood."

The operation skill of diabolo is throwing high, that is, after pulling the rope hard, diabolo is thrown into the air from the bamboo stick, caught by the rope after falling, and continues to pull; Climbing pole, that is, diabolo goes up along the rope; Exchange, that is, two people throw diabolo at each other at the same time, and the other party continues to pull after receiving diabolo, which has developed into a traditional acrobatic project in China.

Play 1. The ends of two short bamboo poles are connected with a rope, which becomes a tool to shake diabolo. When shaking, put the string in the hollow center of the diabolo shaft, and then circle it several times to lift the diabolo. Through alternating and coordinated shaking of the two arms, diabolo gradually accelerates its rotation. After shaking, it can be placed upside down on the ground, that is, it keeps spinning and buzzing, such as the sound of bells, and it can also be transformed into other patterns. Come to the park on sunny days and stay at home on rainy and snowy days, regardless of the venue and weather.

Play 2. Put diabolo on the ground, and take a shaking stick on each side. Hold the rod in your right hand and wrap the rod line around the diabolo twice counterclockwise. Then lift it gently with your right hand to make diabolo rotate off the ground. After turning a circle, there is still a circle of lines in the groove, which can keep shaking your hands up and down. Diabolo will turn faster and faster, and when it turns to a certain extent, the bell will buzz. Diabolo is easy to learn, but it is not easy to play well.

The common ways of playing diabolo are: "chicken", that is, after diabolo turns sharply, it is unwound and thrown away, and then caught with a wooden stick, so that it can roll on one stick or turn to another. "Flying all over the sky", throw diabolo into the air, then catch it with a rope or throw it again. "Fairy jump" means stepping on the middle end of the rope with your feet, making the diabolo rotating on one side of your feet jump from the instep to the other side, and jumping back and forth on the ropes on both sides of your feet. "Pay-off", only single-tube diabolo is suitable for this method, that is, put one end without tube on the ground to make it rotate, and when its speed slows down, rescue it and shake it. In addition, such as The Wind Drills the Lotus Leaves, Big Shares, Cucumber Rack, Ring Three Bells, and Butterflies. These movements are dexterous, agile and clean. In addition, it can also evolve from shaking diabolo to shaking porcelain pot cover, shaking pot cover, shaking Dulu and so on. Later, the old artists developed cross-transmission techniques such as "one-sided leg", "two-sided leg" and "waist string", and they can also perform the stretching of the rope, so that diabolo can rise vertically along the rope from bottom to top. They can even shake three diabolos at the same time.

The operation skills of diabolo include throwing high, hitting the pole, changing hands, first line two, first line three and so on. The earliest diabolo records can be found in the Ming Dynasty. According to Dong Liu and Yu Yizheng's "Scenery of the Imperial Palace" at the end of the Ming Dynasty, "An empty clock has a hollow wood, a side mouth, and the soup is made of asphalt, which is as prominent as the clock and the handle is flat on it. Don't wrap the rope around its handle, don't have holes in the bamboo ruler, measure its rope and reach the empty clock, but the rope is right and the bamboo is left. A Le, the empty bell goes boom, big bell, little fly, when the bell is broken. Diameters range from inches to eight or nine inches. Let go, one or three people. " What is said here is consistent with the modern children's audio toy "Earth Axis", which is made of bamboo and wood. The rope is wound around its handle, and the rope goes into the bamboo ruler. When the rope is pulled hard, the earth shaft will fall to the ground and fly, and when it rotates vertically under the action of centrifugal force. It sounds because there is a mouth around the cavity. Qin Xiaoyi's lacquerware, an overseas treasure, has a round box with a red baby play pattern on it and a baby play pattern engraved on the lid. In the picture, a boy is shaking diabolo, and another boy is watching with his ears covered. Diabolo is disc-shaped, with a wooden shaft inside. The wooden shaft is wrapped with a bamboo stick rope and pulled and shaken. The method of shaking diabolo here is exactly the same as the present method. According to the editor's note, this red lacquer box was made in Yongle period of Ming Dynasty. If this statement is true, then as early as the early Ming Dynasty, the modeling characteristics and gameplay of diabolo were quite mature. Two pieces of embroidered ancient costumes were unearthed in the Ming Dingling Mausoleum, one of which was named "Red and Dark Flowers, Luo Embroidered, Longgu Flowers, Square Collar Women's Coat"; The other one, named "Red Ribbon, Luo, Jinlong, Baihua and Square Collar Women's Coat", was buried with Empress Xiaojing. On the back of the ancient philosophers' clothes, there is a picture of an "empty clock". The two boys are working together to release a big empty clock. It can be seen from the picture that it is different from diabolo. The empty clock here should be the "earth axis".

There are many ways to shake diabolo. According to incomplete statistics, there are nearly a hundred. Some diabolo masters play diabolo from left to right, from high to low, sometimes in the front and sometimes in the back. Relaxation, like running water, is better than walking around. When it's heavy, it's like a meteor and lightning, changing rapidly, and it's as cool as dancing with a gun. It dazzles the viewer and is an artistic enjoyment.
