What problems should the elderly pay attention to when choosing dancing as a way to exercise and keep fit?
Dancing is a healthy exercise, and it is also true for the elderly. However, in view of the special functional status of the elderly, we should pay attention to the following points when dancing and fitness:

(1) is not suitable for dancing in crowded places. Dancing is a kind of high-intensity outdoor aerobic exercise for the elderly. Since it is outdoor aerobic exercise, it is necessary to choose a venue with good air circulation and few people. In addition, if there are too many people in the process of dancing, it will also increase the risk of falling and colliding.

(2) Elderly people who should not skip strenuous dancing have poor cardiovascular elasticity. Long-term high-intensity dancing will lead to excessive nerve excitement, accelerated breathing, accelerated heart rate and elevated blood pressure, and even induce or aggravate cardiovascular diseases.

(3) Don't wear hard shoes. When dancing, if the elderly wear hard-soled shoes, they will not only slip easily, increase the chances of sprain and fracture, but also cause damage to the tendons and joint tissues of the calf due to the reaction of the ground.

(4) Don't dance right after dinner. Old people have poor digestive ability. If you exercise immediately after a meal, it will easily lead to gastrointestinal diseases, because the food has not been fully digested.

(5) Don't dance after drinking. Drinking can stimulate the brain, dilate blood vessels and speed up the heartbeat. Dancing after drinking can easily lead to angina pectoris and cerebrovascular accident. In addition, the balance ability of the body after drinking is greatly affected, and dancing after drinking is easy to fall down, causing accidental injuries. Therefore, the elderly should not dance after drinking.

(6) When patients with cardiovascular diseases are unstable, if they participate in sports such as dancing, their blood pressure will rise, which will greatly increase the probability of myocardial infarction, stroke and sudden death. In addition, diseases such as hernia and gastroptosis will also be aggravated by dancing. Poor balance ability, including elderly people who are prone to dizziness due to illness, are prone to fall down when dancing, and should not participate in dancing and fitness.
