Introduction of Harbin Institute of Physical Education Harbin Institute of Physical Education was founded in 1956. At present, sports colleges and universities with distinctive ice and snow characteristics, reasonable discipline layout, coordinated professional development, outstanding achievements in teaching and scientific research, competition training and social service have been built. It is the main base for the cultivation of talents in ice and snow sports in China, an excellent college for undergraduate teaching level evaluation by the Ministry of Education, and an authorized unit for doctoral degree in physical education. The school is affiliated to the Education Department of Heilongjiang Province, with more than 6,000 full-time students.

The school covers an area of 27,865,438+10,000 square meters with a building area of174,800 square meters. It consists of Harbin main campus and Maoershan second teaching area (teaching and training base and alpine ski resort). Over the years, the high-level competitive talents in ice and snow events trained by the school have won seven gold medals in the Winter Olympics for the country (up to now, China has won 13 gold medals in the Winter Olympics), which has provided strong talent support, technical support and intellectual support for the preparation of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, and trained and reserved a large number of specialized talents. The school is fortunate to be selected as the first training base for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics and Paralympic Winter Games, and it is the only training base for colleges and universities outside Beijing. Maoershan Alpine Ski Resort was once one of the main venues of the 24th winter universiade, and now it has become the center of teaching, scientific research, competition training and social service of snow sports in our school, and has been recognized as the national U-shaped snowboarding skill training base and the national college students' snow sports training base. Its complete facilities and snow professionals have made great contributions to the development of ice and snow sports, ice and snow tourism, ice and snow sports industry and the promotion of national fitness in winter in Heilongjiang Province and even the whole country.
