Jiangsu Lianyungang Traditional Chinese Medicine Advanced Vocational & Technical School
The school was founded in 1958, formerly known as Lianyungang Health School. 1988 was renamed as Lianyungang Chinese Medicine School in Jiangsu Province with the approval of Jiangsu Provincial People's Government, and 1996 became the national standard school for secondary Chinese medicine education. In 200 1 year, it became one of the national key secondary schools of traditional Chinese medicine in state administration of traditional chinese medicine. In March 2004, with the approval of Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education, Lianyungang Higher Vocational and Technical School of Chinese Medicine was established (and Lianyungang Branch of Jiangsu United Vocational and Technical College was added), which is also the only higher vocational and technical school of Chinese medicine in Jiangsu Province. In June 2005, it was recognized as the second batch of national key vocational schools by the Ministry of Education.
At present, the school has newly requisitioned 470 mu of teaching land in the Science and Education Pioneer Park in Lianyungang New District, and planned according to the scale of 6,000 people.
Facing the enrollment of the whole province, the school has set up seven five-year higher vocational majors, such as Chinese medicine, Chinese medicine pharmacy technology, pharmaceutical preparation technology, drug management and management, drug analysis technology, pharmacy and nursing, as well as 1 professional direction (foreign nursing) and three secondary vocational majors, such as Chinese medicine, pharmacy and nursing. * * * There are 232 faculty members and 5604 full-time students.
The school has successively set up adult junior college and undergraduate courses such as nursing, preventive medicine, clinical medicine, pharmacy, traditional Chinese medicine and integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine with Nanjing Medical University, Suzhou University, Yangzhou University, Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine and Beijing University of Chinese Medicine. Established Sino-foreign cooperation projects with relevant institutions in New Zealand, Australia and other countries.
In recent years, the school has won the national "five? 6? 14 "Red Flag Youth League Committee, the advanced unit of National Fitness Week, the home of national model workers, the first batch of qualified units in Jiangsu Province, the advanced collective of Chinese medicine science and technology education in Jiangsu Province, and the civilized unit in Jiangsu Province.
