Liuxi Village in Xiakou Town is adjacent to the northern foot of Nanshan, and the original gravel path connects Nanshan Air Force Tomb, which has been the only way for Xiakou Town and Nanshan since ancient times. People from Xiakou Town go to Nanshan Street for shopping and tourism, and people from Nanshan come to Xiakou Town for fair, business trip, horse breeding, and so on. This road used to be very busy. However, due to the long history of construction and full of thorns, the original road winds along the mountain. This road is called "firewood cutting road" by local villagers, and it often takes nearly three hours to walk this firewood cutting road.
The newly-built trail is adjacent to Nanshan Tourist Highway, starting from Wumi Bridge in Jiaoyuanshe, Liuxi Village, ending at Nanshan autogenous grave and connecting with Nanshan Air Force grave, with a total length of1.2km.. The trail is about 2 meters wide and is made of a whole stone slab. The wooden pavilions, tables and chairs are made of local materials. There are ornamental flowers and trees and fruit and vegetable bases planned beside the trail.
