What kinds of street dances are there?
Today's street dance is divided into:

"『HIPHOP』" is a dance that extends with body rhythm.

"『GIRL HIPHOP』" is the same as HIPHOP, but the difference is that the movements are more feminine, just like the dance of singer Namie Amuro.

"The house pays attention to footwork and jumping dance.

"Lock dance usually has a funny feeling, and the wrist dances like nunchakus.

"popping" mechanical dance includes more than 20 dance techniques such as POPPING (earthquake point), WAVE (current), TUTING (Egyptian emperor) and Bugalo. ...

Reggae "Reggae" focuses on big movements and swinging movements, and the dance of singer Beyonce belongs to this category.

In fact, freestyle is not a kind of dance. It is a dance that the teacher has learned comprehensively and arranged according to his own feelings.

"Breaking the floor is the most popular dance in China at present, such as rock step, leg row, windmill and turning head.

""『PUNKING』 ""is a new Locke dance that combines new jazz and belongs to progressive dance.

"Krump" was officially divided into a new style of dance in 2004. It has a strong sense of rhythm and looks angry, and dancers will also paint on their faces.

The above dances are like LOCK, BREAKING, HIPHOP and POPPING.

It belongs to the old school (early American) dance.

So now there will be two styles, the old school and the new school.

Other dances are only produced in the new period, so the new school has only one style.

"New Jazz" new york-style jazz is also a relatively feminine dance, but it has no sense of rhythm.

POPING pays great attention to rhythm, so pay attention to the blasting point of rhythm when jumping, and be with the music when blasting.

Blasting is composed of hands, feet and shoulders. Beginners don't have to shake their shoulders first. POPING has no secret, only practice more.

First of all, the most basic thing is to get into the habit of moving your feet with music. At first, find some music with moderate rhythm and little change, and learn to beat with your feet. At this time, we must pay attention to clear steps and accurate shooting. (What kind of dance is the key) When you feel comfortable, you can find some slightly more difficult music and change the rhythm more quickly. The requirements are the same. But at the beginning of the second step, there may be a feeling of being at a loss. I always feel that the rhythm of this beat has not recovered, and the next beat is coming. Practice more, it depends on practice. And the motion amplitude is as large as possible. (The greater the movement amplitude, the higher the speed change, the more exaggerated the speed change, and the more exciting the visual effect. ) This practice is to slowly get rid of the fixed rhythm of your own steps. If you practice more, you don't have to think about listening to music, and the dance steps will naturally come out. Do whatever you want!

Ok, now let's talk about how to enrich our dance steps.

1. Since you can't learn any rich dance steps from break dancing, why not learn from other kinds of dances? Like my own toprock, I added a lot of C-steps and house-steps, but because the music was different when I broke it, the speed of those steps changed in different ways, so the feeling I came out was still the feeling of toprock. In fact, you don't have to look for inspiration in the dance types of street dance. Many other dances have a lot to learn. Tap dancing and swing dancing are recommended. I went to see riverdance (the most famous tap dance company in the world) the other day, and I really benefited a lot. After coming back, my house is much stronger, and of course toprock has improved.

However, no matter how good the music is and how rich the footsteps are, you may not be able to make the audience boil just by toprock. There is also an X factor, which is to stop.

Learning to stop is as important as all kinds of dances. (The problem of stopping will be explained in the next few articles and will be analyzed in detail in Dance God. )

Grab a remake when you dance toprock, bang!

Pose!

At the same time, I tossed my head.

The audience is boiling!

Don't panic yet. Go ahead.

Tap the beat gently with your hand or head and put a bar or two through.

Another remake suddenly intensified!

Another full-court explosion.

2. After 2.toprock, let's talk about footwork.

To tell the truth first, can the footwork completely crush every beat? Maybe! But don't try to do this, it's especially distorted and ugly!

In the process of breaking, everything except toprock is done by inertia (or the action done by inertia is beautiful). If you want to use inertia, you must exert yourself at a specific time. Who can guarantee that the moment when you need to replenish your strength is on the beat? For footwork, music is probably better. You can't choose music when you fight. For strong movements, you can wait until there is suitable music. How long does it take to do dynamic movement in a battle? But this is not the case with footwork (now a large part of the battle is spent on footwork). It can only be said that under the premise of following the trend and speed of music, try not to destroy inertia.

There are many skills in using music. In fact, footwork can fully use the ups and downs of the body, the swinging of the legs, and one foot supporting the body behind the ground to follow the beat. But it will be super monotonous and lack visual impact. You can't lose the greatest charm of breaking for the sake of deliberately following the beat. Therefore, the trick to using music is still one word-stop! And the stop in footwork has a proper noun "freeze"! .

In fact, if only the head and hands touch the ground, freezing does not have to be called freezing. As long as you simply pose with music when doing footwork, as long as it is not standing (of course beautiful), it is called freeze-frame. The earliest freezing was like this. Only later, with the development of the broken, various difficult freezes gradually appeared. However, slowly, freezing lost its original function and became the main body of break dancing. Actually, my own footwork is not good either. I've been practicing for more than a month. It's strange. I believe that among the readers of this article, there must be a lot better footwork than me. I hope these experts can also talk about their experiences in their replies. However, I have always believed that simplicity is the most important thing in freeze. If you can be completely abnormal, then you are cruel. But if it's just abnormal, it belongs to acrobatics.

Actually, think about it. If you give the audience the impression that you are a skilled dancer, as long as you make a very simple and beautiful freeze, the audience will give you warm applause. But if your performance makes the audience subconsciously classify you as acrobatics. Hehe, compared with acrobats. . . . . . . I think you have to use very difficult skills to achieve the same effect. And even if there is applause, most of it is not the first response applause. I guess most of them are finished. Think about it, this action is so difficult. Applause.

In fact, there is another important place for jacking stone, footwork and freezing, and that is the connection of the three. As a dance, you must be fluent (not fluent and stopping are two different things). Therefore, the transformation of the three is particularly important and must be integrated. And it doesn't have to be top rock-footwork-freeze frame, and it can be freely combined with music and inertia. This is not monotonous, but also dancing. (one integrated mass? It's easier said than done. I am working hard in this direction now. )

So you can't practice everything separately when you practice, but practice together when you practice. In this way, it is possible to achieve seamless integration in combat. Moreover, footwork and freezing are very inertial things, so it is easier to practice together. Sometimes when I listen to music and do footwork, I will naturally think of a freeze frame without thinking. Then I will think: How did I get here?

Three. Power movement

Now I'm talking about the most dazzling and passionate part of break dancing.

But ... . . . . . . . I can only say that I have made no achievements in this respect. Three years ago, I turned to practice hard, and now. . . . . . . . Anyway, I'm not going to develop in this direction again. Come on, guys.

Only a few hints can be given here.

1. Inertia is particularly important for dynamic movement, which you practice. I have seen countless b-boy windmills. . . One lap. . . Hold on. . . One more lap. . . . . Hold on. . . . . How ugly, very ugly. Practice the first lap before starting the learning cycle. When I first started dancing, I had a friend with me. I practiced the first lap first, and then I got it directly. His windmill is the best I have ever seen.

2. Learn to take advantage of opportunities. I said this before, so I won't talk nonsense. But I have another idea. If your toprock doesn't look good, why shake it twice first? It is not as good as when the other party just went back, and rushed over and turned for a while. How spectacular!

Let's talk separately. Besides, it's average.

1. Your essence is not much expensive.

Last week, when I went to a youth community here to teach new styling (one hour is equivalent to people 1000 yuan, haha), I met an old B-boy (estimated to be an OG figure in Britain in his forties, and his head spin is not much worse than that of Koreans). He told us that everyone should have his own glory move, that is, you can't be defeated by others in this move. If everyone in a crew has so many glorious actions, then the crew is very strong. In fact, gamblers are such a crew, no matter what the game is, just a few times. But only a few times, no one can match. There is one person in the crew, which is a counterexample. He can do anything ordinary, including aerial flares. Everything is the same. But none of them can bring great shock to people.

So practice one move, and then practice the next.

2. Mastering momentum and politeness in 2.battle

In fact, I think momentum is as important as strength in combat. As long as the momentum is not lost, even if the strength gap is large, there will be no one-sided scene. But I'm worried that BOTY China will lose to its opponent in the international arena for the first time this year, and then lose badly. (I estimate that I will go to Germany to cheer for China in June 5438+ 10 this year) But sometimes it becomes impolite if the momentum is too high. For example, when a white man jumped the ball in the 2004 BOTY final, a man from the Korean team stepped forward to intervene. This is really a particularly rude behavior. If the referee is afraid of this, hehe, can gamblers still win the championship? This degree is easy to master. As long as you don't interfere when others jump. What are you trying to tease? Do whatever you like when you jump.
