At present, many gyms in big cities choose relatively closed buildings, and some still train in underground or semi-basement, and the ventilation equipment used is mostly central air conditioning. So in such a closed environment, what is the quality of the air inhaled by collective exercise?
Studies have shown that under normal conditions without any exercise, the human body breathes about 18 times per minute, inhales about 200ml of pure oxygen and expels 280ml of carbon dioxide at the same time. If there are 50 people in the gym, you need to inhale about 10000 ml of pure oxygen (10 liter) and expel 14000 ml of carbon dioxide (14 liter) every minute. So, if these 50 people stay in the gym for 60 minutes, they need to inhale 600 liters of pure oxygen and expel 840 liters of carbon dioxide. When exercising, especially when the amount of exercise is large, the human body inhales more oxygen and emits more carbon dioxide.
When the concentration of carbon dioxide in the air exceeds 8%, people will have discomfort symptoms such as fatigue, fatigue, shortness of breath, rough breathing and asthma. Experts found that the carbon dioxide concentration of individual gyms has reached 15% or more. Because people fluctuate during exercise, carbon dioxide and inhalable particles stir up and down, and the air in the whole gym will become very turbid.
Some facilities in the gym may also become air pollution sources, such as rubber carpets, density boards, artificial plywood, furniture and sofas. Especially in newly renovated and newly opened fitness venues, it is easy to bury hidden dangers such as excessive formaldehyde and air pollution, which is not conducive to bodybuilders to carry out aerobic exercise.
Aerobic exercise needs fresh air. If there is no good ventilation equipment and convection device in the gym, it will lead to the continuous circulation of exhaust gas in a limited space, and it will also be infected with epidemics, which is not good for exercisers who do aerobic exercise in the gym.
At the same time, the sweat and microorganisms on the surface of the human body also increase accordingly. At this time, if the air exchange is not sufficient, bacteria, viruses, pathogens and carbon dioxide in the air will accumulate, which is easy to induce pharyngitis, tracheitis, influenza and other diseases.
Fitness places should be ventilated to ensure air circulation. However, at present, outdoor air pollution is serious, and window ventilation will lead to polluted outdoor air entering the room and polluting indoor air. At this time, use the fresh air system. The fresh air system exhausts the polluted indoor air after energy recovery and replaces the filtered fresh outdoor air, so as to realize indoor and outdoor air exchange without window ventilation and keep the indoor air fresh, clean and oxygen-enriched for 24 hours.
