During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, towns belonged to Dashibao, Dashanbao and Li Jiao Fort. At the end of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China, it belonged to Wei 'anshe Township and Xianshe Township of Jiaotang Company. In the twentieth year of the Republic of China, it belonged to Xianshe Township in the second district and Heping Township in the third district (Wei 'an Township). At the beginning of liberation, it belonged to the western area of southern Henan (renamed as Area 31950 in May); 1March, 953, it was divided into five districts and six districts, and Dashi was the residence of the six district governments, later called Dashi District. In 2005, Dashi Town governed 23 administrative villages and 6 neighborhood committees. The 23 administrative villages are Dongxiang, Yi Xi, Yi Xi, Xisan, Luoxi, Shangjiao, Xiajiao, Shaxi, Hecun, Licun, Zhicun, Meng Yong, Gucun, Jiang Hui, Guankeng, Daxing, Beilian, Orange Tree, Shanxi, Dawei and Dongdong. The six neighborhood committees are Dashi, Los Angeles, R&F, Lijiang, Zhujiang and Xinghewan.
In 2006, Dashi Town was divided into Dashi Street and Luopu Street. Dashi Street governs 14 villages, 3 community neighborhood committees (Dashi and Futing community neighborhood committees were separated from Dashi community neighborhood committees in 2007), and 14 administrative villages are: Hecun, Licun, Zhicun, Village and Gucun respectively. The six neighborhood committees are Dashi, R&F, Xinghewan and Futing.
