Suggested starting age: 5 years old
It is self-evident that Wushu and Taekwondo play an important role in children's body and willpower, but children are too young to understand the mystery, and their flexibility is affected after their age. Therefore, if they want to engage in the exercise of these two projects, it is suggested that they can start from about 5 years old.
This is because children around the age of 5 have developed rapidly in physical coordination and flexibility, and their attention, control, thinking ability and behavior control ability have been significantly improved, providing good conditions for learning. But at this time, children's learning and sports ability is not strong after all. At first, it is only suitable for learning some simple martial arts movements and combinations, and the amount of exercise should not be too large.
Before learning, you may wish to play some related games with your children on the principle of "reaching in one jump" and "making progress a little every day". Exercising children's flexibility is an important benefit of Wushu. Parents can play some small games with their children at home to exercise their flexibility, such as "touching the ground with their hands" and "chest reaching their knees" in the competition.
As for Taekwondo, the enrollment of general colleges and universities begins at the age of four or five. Of course, there are also some sports training institutions whose learning content is relatively difficult, and the registration age starts at the age of eight. Before learning Taekwondo, remember to tell your child that Taekwondo requires your child to have a good state and vitality when learning, such as letting him shout it out during training-this will make him more confident.
