The school has 43 interest societies and 25 newspaper societies (2009). The change of clubs and the establishment of new clubs every academic year have injected new vitality into the campus culture of the school. Among them, the top ten clubs on campus are: Table Tennis Association, Fanxing Literature Society, Mixed Fashion Street Dance Society, Guitar Association and "Good Power" Love Society. weekend dance
Every weekend, there will be weekend dances in major squares, including Tibetan dances, Uygur dances, yi dance and other minority dances, as well as modern dances such as ballroom dancing, cha-cha and ballroom dancing. Students can take part in different dances to relax and make friends. Main campus (new campus): South Zone Washing Square-next to the South Zone Stadium of Tibetan Dance Modern Dance-in front of the South Zone Gymnasium of Uygur Dance-yi dance Modern Dance School is a key unit of opening to the outside world in Sichuan Province. So far, experts, scholars and government officials from more than 70 countries and regions have come to our school for academic exchange activities or visits. The school has established inter-school cooperation and exchange relations with nearly 30 foreign universities and scientific research institutions such as Manchester University, Birmingham University, Waikato University in New Zealand and Washington University in Seattle, USA. Especially in the fields of new material development, animal husbandry and veterinary theory and technology, classic literature, national culture research (Tibetan, Yi, Qiang and Miao) and information processing of minority languages (Yi, Tibetan and Dai), the research results have great influence on domestic and foreign academic circles. The academic journals published mainly include Journal of Southwest University for Nationalities, Journal of Ethnology and Ethnological Information, which are distributed at home and abroad.
