Hag in Buddhism
[Edit this paragraph]
"Hag" originated from ancient Indian mythology, which refers to a demigod, the attendant of the god of wealth, who guards his garden and wealth in Mount Jiro. According to Vishnu, Hag and Luo Cha were born at the same time by the soles of Lord Blaudy or Brahma, and they are usually hostile to each other. According to Buddhism, "Hag" is the family of Vishnu, the northern king, and one of the Eight Dragons.
There are different opinions about its source. According to Vishnu, Hag and Luo Cha were born from Brahma's feet at the same time, and they are usually hostile to each other. Hag, unlike Luo Cha, is friendly to human beings, so it is called "sincere man". Its image is sometimes described as a beautiful and strong young man, and sometimes as a dwarf with a drooping abdomen.
Notes on Vimalakīrti's Buddhist Scriptures: "There are three kinds of hags, one is on the ground, the other is in the void, and the other is a three-day hag. The witch can't fly with money, but she can fly with horses and chariots. "
Eight generals of hag

Pishaman, the king of heaven, will lead eight enchantresses to protect all beings. On the fifth day of the Great Sun Sutra, I said:' Next to the north gate, King Vishnu should be placed, and around it, General Eight Hags: Mani Potala, translated as Bao Xian. Two Buluna bhadra, translated as Man Xian. Three and a half branches, formerly known as three branches. Four sand roads and seven miles. There are five people living in the snow-capped mountains. Six pizzas plus. Seven o'clock. Eight and a half years old "
The more you scold, the more beautiful you become.

Hag is the third of the eight sects. Together with Luo Cha, it is the family of King Vishnu. They live on the ground or in the air, disturbing others with strength, or guarding Buddhism, and belong to ghosts.
One day, the Buddha told such a thing. Say, there used to be a hag, with a short figure, a particularly ugly color and a dark and ugly face. On this day, on a whim, this hag ran to the throne of Emperor Shi. Dishi, originally a Brahmin of Maha, was born as a 33-day god because of the blessing of Shubus and others. So he is very powerful, naturally beautiful and dignified, and respected by heaven and man. So this hag suddenly ran to the throne of the stone emperor, complacent. Many people saw it for thirty-three days, and of course they all hated him. Therefore, first, I used harsh words to persuade the hag to come down, and finally, the more I said, the more I hated it, and destroyed the hag in various ways.
Strangely, at this time, everyone found that the more hag was scolded, the less evil he was, while the more kind he was, the taller he grew, the better he looked. This is really a puzzling thing. So the heavens came to the emperor stone and reported this situation. Hearing this, Dishi ascended the throne and said modestly to the hag, "Daxian, I am Dishi!" " "So he claimed to be three times, and the hag gradually changed back to its original appearance.
Shi said to the crowd, "From now on, don't be angry. Don't be angry if you meet a wicked person facing yourself. "
The Buddha worships the stone emperor and encourages his disciples to learn from him to eliminate their hatred.
Maitri^- Bala Blood Sacrifice Witch
[Edit this paragraph]
One day Ananda asked Sakyamuni:
Buddha! Chen Qiao is like five monks. What is the reason for his immortality? When the Buddha first realized, his first smell of Buddhism took precedence over the truth? "
So, the Buddha told a story of karma:
There was a king of a big country named maitri^· Bala. He was charitable, devoted to charity, helped the poor and cared for the people. Maitri^- Bala teaches his subjects with the law of benevolence and righteousness, so the country is prosperous and the folk customs are pure. The ministers wholeheartedly help govern the country, the people try their best to farm, the people in the city live and work in peace and contentment, and there are bustling scenes everywhere. Since maitri^- Bala came to power, he has been deeply loved by the people, and his charity has also influenced ghosts and gods.
At that time, there were five hags living day and night, sucking human blood for a living. However, in the place ruled by maitri^- Bala, everyone does good things to protect students, so they can't approach them in an evil and furtive way, let alone suck their plasma.
These five ghost wives are starving to death because there is no one to drink, struggling to wander around and trying to get lucky.
One day, these five hungry ghosts wandered to Maitri-Bala's palace, knelt at Maitri-Bala's feet and begged and said:
Ghosts like us, only human plasma diet, can maintain life. However, due to the king's charity education, people all abide by the Ten Good Commandments and have protectors to protect themselves. We can't and dare not go near them, and of course we can't suck their plasma. We are too hungry to walk, and we are dying. If you keep begging for food like this, you will only die. Your majesty has always ruled the country with charity. Will he watch us starve to death? After that, the five women were in tears and couldn't get up on the ground.
Maitri^- Bala listened to them and saw that they were all exhausted and haggard. The heart of seclusion arises spontaneously, and the feeling of pity is hard to restrain. He resolutely picked up the knife and stabbed five places in his leg, and red and hot blood flowed out.
You are hungry! I give you my blood in the hope that you will be free from hunger. Maitri^- Bala, who is bleeding, said to them affectionately.
At this time, five little goats quickly got up with their remaining strength and climbed over maitri^- Bala. Some of them open their mouths to receive blood, while others fill their bowls with wine. After drinking human blood, the hag immediately recovered and was ecstatic. They all stood in front of maitri^- Bala with big bellies and bowed to Shane.
The witches all said, "Never forget the king's saving his life." . If you are sent, you are willing to help your dog and horse.
Maitri^- Balayao shook his head and waved. He said to the Yamaguchi group,' If you are still alive after drinking enough blood, you should also accept the Ten Commandments from now on. I am very happy to give you my blood in this life; If I can become a Buddha in the future, I must use my dharma body to help you get rid of your three poisonous desires and save you from the cycle of life and death. "maitri^- Bala made such a big wish.
After hearing this, the five little witches left happily.
Ananda listened and asked, "Buddha, what happened later?" ? '
Sakyamuni Buddha smiled:' maitri^- Bala at that time is me now! Now Qiao Chenru and their five monks are the original five monks. "This is what goes around comes around!"
After listening to the Buddha's revelation, Ananda nodded with an epiphany.
