Bread bricks, also called Dutch brick, originated in Holland. In the process of building a city around the sea, the Dutch found that the ground after draining seawater would cause continuous land subsidence because of long-term contact with water. Once the dikes on the coastline are washed away, the sea water will quickly rush to cities much lower than the sea level, flooding the whole coastal cities, in order to stop the ground from sinking.
Bread brick has good water permeability, air permeability, water retention, cooling, noise reduction, climate regulation, air quality improvement, surface water circulation and other functions. Because of its appearance, many problems have been solved.
Biography of Brock in Shu State
In 1990s, Shu Buloko brick appeared in China. According to the principle of Shu Buloko brick, technicians in China invented a kind of pavement brick with good water permeability, and rainwater would flow to the ground from the small holes in the brick.
After a period of time, in order to strengthen the compressive strength and flexural strength of bricks, technicians used crushed stones as raw materials and added cement and colloid additives to make their water permeability and strength meet the needs of urban pavements. This kind of brick is a kind of permeable brick for municipal pavement. This kind of brick is relatively cheaper than the ceramic permeable brick fired with ceramics, and is suitable for most regional projects.
