The origin of Taiping on the 16th day of the first month.
Walking in peace, also known as "walking in peace on the 16th day of the first month", is a unique traditional folk custom of Quanjiao and the earliest and longest-lasting fitness walking activity in China history. Since the Eastern Han Dynasty, it has continued to this day. Hanshu contains the proverb "It's peaceful when it's sunny", which is the beginning of the whole pepper peace. The custom of walking on the Taiping Bridge in the first month is specifically described in the Chronicle of Jingchu Years in the Southern and Northern Dynasties, which is called "Walking with All Diseases". Because the bridge is homophonic, walking on the bridge means "seeing a doctor", in order to eliminate disasters and diseases. This custom has been prevailing in the southern area south of Huaihe River. Why does the whole pepper have this custom, but nothing else? The whole pepper has been circulated peacefully, which is related to three historical figures. At the beginning of the inheritance, in order to commemorate him, an upright official Ping Liu was added. The meaning of "taking sum" is deeper than that of other regions. Ping Liu, a native of Chupengcheng and Jianwu in the Eastern Han Dynasty, worshiped Quanjiao. In order to be honest, there are no prisoners in the prison, and the people have their own jobs. People can increase their capital and reduce their service years. Wherever Dehua went, tigers roamed west. According to the folklore of Han nationality in Quanjiao, there was famine last year. Ping Liu allocated funds from the imperial court to build a 30-mile city for disaster relief, and the remaining money was only used to build a 3-mile town. This is the phenomenon of "streets surrounding the city" in the old city of Quanjiao (generally, the city walls surround the streets and Quanjiao streets surround the county government). Ping Liu was dismissed from office and was found guilty and escorted back to Beijing. When the people learned the news, they sent the whole city to Dongqiao, which happened to be the 16th day of the first month. All the people burned incense and bamboo, prayed for nine days and sang for nine days. According to Hanshu, Ping Liu left his job due to illness. Thanks to the prayers of all pepper people, Ping Liu's body miraculously recovered. So he went to Beijing as a bell and assistant, and was named Jiuqing, which went down in history.
