Beijing Yuandadu Ruins Park: an ecological park with many relics, intoxicating autumn colors, morning running and walking.
Yuan Dadu City Wall (Tucheng) Ruins Park is long and narrow, with a total length of 9 kilometers, spanning Chaoyang and Haidian districts. There are five nodes in the park, namely, Jiyan Tree, Dadu Jiandian, Guyuan Xinyun, Dadu Festival and Long Ze Yuyue, which connect Chaoyang Section and Haidian Section, showing the development of Beijing from Yuan Dynasty to the East for more than 700 years.

The reconstructed Yuan Dadu City Wall (Tucheng) Ruins Park is one of the four best in Beijing, ranking first in the country 1: the largest urban strip park, the largest outdoor sculpture and the largest artificial wetland, and the first pilot park in Beijing to complete the construction of emergency shelter. Therefore, Beijing became the first city in China to build an emergency shelter and put up the "emergency shelter" brand. It integrates the protection of historical sites, the recreation of citizens, the improvement of ecological environment, and disaster prevention and emergency shelter. It is a classic garden with cultural and historical connotation of "people-oriented, green as the body, water as the line, history as the soul and disaster relief".

Today, I will introduce to you the Haidian section of the Yuan Dadu City Wall (Tucheng) Ruins Park, which consists of two parts, the West Tucheng and the North Tucheng, at a right angle of 90 degrees. West Tucheng section starts from North Tucheng West Road in the north, ends at Xueyuan South Road in the south, and crosses Jimen Bridge in the North Third Ring Road, with a total length of 2 kilometers. North Tucheng section starts from Xueyuan Road in the west and ends at Jingcheng Expressway in the east, about 7 kilometers.

The green coverage rate of Yuan Dadu City Wall Ruins Park is 73%, and Xiaoyue River passes through the city. The Henan side is Tucheng site protection area, and the north shore is green scenic area construction area. Taking Xiaoyue River as the main water scenic spot, seven kinds of aquatic plants, such as lotus, reed, calamus and water onion, were planted, and a hydrophilic viewing platform was built.

There are five wooden cruise docks and six small bridges with different shapes along the coast of Xiaoyue, which connect the beautiful scenery of different styles on both sides of the strait. There are many willows on both banks, some of which have become towering trees, such as ginkgo, Fraxinus mandshurica, pine, begonia and so on.

The scenery is different all year round. In spring, the willow is green and the begonia is in full bloom; In autumn, willow leaves fall, and red leaves, ginkgo leaves and gray leaves are colorful. Especially in autumn, the leaves of those ginkgo trees in the park will turn into golden lemon yellow, and under the sunlight, they will shine brightly and illuminate everything around them. Coming under the ginkgo tree is like coming to a magnificent world.

Metropolitan City Wall (Tucheng) Ruins Park, along the bank of Xiaoyue River, has a fitness trail, which is the place where the residents nearby run and walk the most in the morning, and also the place where the white-collar workers in the surrounding office buildings come out for a walk after lunch.

When I was working in Xitucheng, I came for a walk every noon. There is also a stone arch bridge with mahogany railings on the river. Standing on the bridge, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery and willows on both sides of the river, as well as people walking, doing morning exercises, dancing and boxing. All the people are refreshed, relaxed and enjoying the only peace this morning.

At the western end of Beitucheng section, there is a historical site "Most of them see the Temple", where there is the largest outdoor sculpture in Beijing. The sculpture is vivid and magnificent, but it has the spirit of building a temple.

In the innermost part of the park, there is a thatched dirt road on the site of the Yuan Dynasty, which meanders through the whole park.

The northern end of Xitucheng section is the historical relic of "thrips". There are relatively well-preserved city wall ruins and the stone tablet of "Jimenyan Tree", and there are several ancient buildings with red bricks and blue tiles on the side.

In the park on the east side of Huayuan Road in Beitucheng section, there are many sculptures of horses, which are also lifelike, and are the favorite places for children to play.
